SLIET Eligibility Criteria 2023 is decided by the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology for admission to various UG and PG courses. The eligibility varies depending on the course. For example, if a candidate is applying for the BE Program, he or she must have the relevant JEE Main score.
SLIET 2023 Eligibility
The following are the general eligibility requirements. There are two admission modes, according to seat reservation:
- Seats with Direct Entry
- Seats with Vertical Entry
The admission procedure for vertical entries is governed by the Institute's admission policy. Check out this as well:
- NRI/Foreign Nationals will be admitted under the DASA scheme for a limited number of UG/PG seats.
- For those seeking admission under the NRI category, there is no provision for a vertical promotion system.
- Students seeking admission to the second year of the ICD programme through the institute's vertical promotion scheme via SET-IA will not be considered for the higher module.
- There is no upper age limit for applying for the State Eligibility Test.
- If you are applying for ICD 3 years, you must have passed or be taking the class X exam from any recognised Board.
- To apply for ICD (Lateral Entry), candidate’s age should be 22-years and must be possessed with ITI/ Certificate/ 10+2 (Vocational) with two year recognized in the industrial experience.
- They should be passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and should be qualified in JEE Main for UG courses. ● To apply for B.E (4 years degree course), the applicant must have done JEE (Main) ● To apply for B.E (Lateral entry), an applicant must have done diploma course with atleast 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Those who are in their final year may also apply.
- To apply for M.Sc Program, it is mandatory to be possessed with a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 55% marks (50% in case of reserved categories) in the subject applying for. ● To apply for Ph.D. Program, the applicant must be possessed with Master’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Humanities, Management with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in the relevant disciplines.
- To be eligible for the M. Tech programme, candidates must have completed B. Tech/ B.E/ B.Sc (Engg) with at least 60% (55 percent for reserved categories) and a valid GATE score.
- To be eligible for the MBA programme, candidates must have a graduation grade point average of at least 55 percent (50 percent for reserved categories) as well as the relevant CAT/ CMAT score.
SLIET SET 2023 Selection Process
The counselling procedure will be run by Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, and those applicants who are shortlisted on the merit list based on their exam scores will be invited to the counselling session. Applicants can register for counselling and must bring the necessary documents with them to the counselling centre for verification. After being provisionally assigned a seat, the candidate must report to the SLIET Campus in Longowal for document verification and payment of the remaining entrance fee (if any).
