SNAP 2023 Eligibility Criteria are set by the exam conducting body - Symbiosis International University-Deemed University (SIU). It is the main conducting authority of Symbiosis International University-Deemed University (SIU). The candidates must know all the information related to the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. They should know whether they are eligible for the SNAP entrance test for which they are applying or not. SNAP 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can go through the SNAP 2023 Eligibility Criteria for admission in multiple MSc/MBA programs. The eligibility criteria of SNAP 2023 for the courses are given below. 
  • Nationality: Indian and NRI applicants can apply for the entrance exam.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree.
    • Bachelor's degree should be from any recognized/statutory University or Institution of National Importance.
    • For the general category, the candidate should have 50 per cent marks in aggregate.
    • For the reserved category, the aspirant should have 45 per cent marks in aggregate.
    • There is 5 per cent relaxation for the reserved category candidate.
  • General information:
    • Candidates pursuing a bachelor's degree can also apply for the SNAP entrance exam.
    • The candidate should be in the final year.
    • For the general category, an applicant should have 50 per cent marks in aggregate.
    • For the reserved category, the candidate should have 45 per cent marks in aggregate.
    • There is 5 per cent relaxation for the reserved category candidate.
Note: Admission of such applicants will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non-fulfilment of the above-stated criteria.
  • An applicant who has completed a qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees/qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the aspirant before seeking admission to any programme of SIU.
Important: It is the responsibility of the aspirant to ascertain whether she/he possesses the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

Age Limit of SNAP 2023

  • Lower Age Limit: There is no lower age limit for the SNAP exam.
  • Upper Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for the SNAP entrance exam.

Reservation in SNAP 2023

There is various reservation while the process for admission.

Category wise Reservation while the admission process is given below:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15 per cent
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5 per cent
  • Differently Abled: 3 per cent
  • Children/wards of Defence Personnel: 5 per cent

Children and wards of Defence Personnel will be offered 5 per cent of reservation in the following institutions and their respective courses only:

  • MBA (International Business)-Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB, Pune)
  • MBA (Telecom Management)-Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM, Pune)
  • MBA (Information Technology Business Management)-Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT, Pune)
  • MBA (Information Technology)-Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR, Pune)
NOTE: The definition for Children / Wards of Defence Personnel is: The term Defence Personnel would mean only those serving/retired Defence personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force. Retired defence personnel are those who fall in the category of ex-servicemen as laid down in Ministry of Defence letter no 36035/5/85- Estt (SCT) dated 14 April 1987. It includes children of defence personnel who died while in service or after retirement.
OVER AND ABOVE INTAKE
  • Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats per programme
  • International Candidates: 15 per cent
NOTE: For all the reserved category students, it is mandatory to show their relevant documents which prove their reservation and gives them the right to take admission based on that and failing to prove their reservation by the time of admission, their candidature shall be cancelled.
