SPSAT 2022 is a computer based online test. Questions are asked in English language only. The test consist of 60 objective questions which is to be solved within a duration of 60 minutes. Candidates must have to secures 60 marks in order to qualify the exam. In each question, candidates have to choose one among the four given alternatives. There is no negative marking for this exam. The division of questions and syllabus varies from course to course. Candidates can attempt the question from paper in any order. There is no restriction regarding solving a particular section within a stipulated time period. There is no system like sectional cut off in this exam. Candidates can check the course-wise exam pattern from the following section.
The exam consist of 60 MCQs which is to be solved in 60 minutes. The SPSAT question paper is divided into following four sections – Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics. Students who wish to pursue B.Tech Biotechnology have to choose Biology instead of Mathematics. Each section consist of 20 questions of 1 mark each.

For MTech, MSc and PhD exam, the test consists of 60 MCQs which is to be solved within 60 minutes. The exam paper will consist of questions from the respective fields.
For admission in MCA paper, the exam consists of 60 MCQs which should be solved within 60 minutes. The whole question paper is divided into following 4 sections – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Awareness. Every section will have 20 questions of 1 mark each.

Candidates must know the marking scheme of the exam in order to decide how to attempt the questions asked in the entrance exam. Students must note that there is no negative marking for any question asked in the test. The marking scheme is given as follows:
