SSC CHSL 2022 Exam Pattern
The applicants must check SSC CHSL exam pattern 2022 to prepare for the examination which is given in the list below:
For SSC CHSL 2022 Tier-I
- The Tier-I exam will be conducted through the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
- There will be a total of 100 Questions in the examination paper.
- The candidate will have 1 Hour duration to finish the exam and 80 Minutes for PwD category candidates.
- The question will contain Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The question will be in two languages Hindi and English and the candidate can answer from the given languages
For SSC CHSL 2022 Tier-II
- The Tier-II exam will be conducted through the Pen and Paper Test (PPT) mode.
- The question paper will be 100 Marks in total.
- The candidate will have 1 Hour duration to finish the exam and 80 Minutes for PwD category candidates.
- The question will contain a Descriptive type.
- The question will be in two languages Hindi and English and the candidate can answer from the given languages
For SSC CHSL 2022 Tier-III
- The Tier-III exam will be conducted through the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
- The Tier-III exam will be a typing test and skill test examination which will test the candidate's typing speed.
- The candidate will have 10 Minutes duration to finish the exam and 15 Minutes for PwD category candidates.

Note:
- The Tier-I question paper will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions (MCQs) only. The question paper will be set both in English & SSC CHSL 2022 exam pattern in Hindi mediums for Part-II, III & IV.
- There will be a negative marking of -1/2 marks for each incorrect answer in the CHSL exam.
- Marks obtained by the applicants in Tier-I will be normalized by the formula published by the conducted authority and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks for the CHSL examination.
- For VH (Visually Handicapped ) applicants of 40% and above physical disability, there will be no component of Graphs/ Diagrams/ Maps/ Statistical Data in the Quantitative Aptitude and General Intelligence.

Note:
- The minimum qualifying marks for candidates in the Tier-II exam will be 33%.
- The performance of candidates in Tier-II will be included for preparing merit.
- The exam paper will have to be written either in English or in Hindi.

Note:
- The Skill Test of the candidates will be of qualifying nature.
- The applicants who belong to the PwD categories will be given a compensatory time of 5 minutes. Therefore, the Exam duration of the Skill Test for such applicants will be 20 minutes.
- The applicants will be shortlisted for Tier-III Examination based on their performance in Tier-I + Tier-II exams to having scored a minimum of 33% score in the Tier-II Exam.
Typing Test for Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) and LDC/ JSA
The candidate who applies for the post of LDC/JSA and PA/SA have to qualify for the typing test and the typing test criteria is given in the table below:

Note:
- The Typing Test of the candidates will be of qualifying nature.
- The medium of the Typing Test will be English and Hindi. The applicants will have to opt for the medium of Typing Test (i.e. either English or Hindi) in the online SSC CHSL 2022 Application Form.
- The choice of Typing Test given by the applicant in the online Application Form will be treated as final and candidate can't be able to make any changes in the medium of Typing Test later.
- Passage Dictators will be provided to those PwD (Physically Disabled) applicant for the Typing test who have opted for Scribe in the online Application Form. The Passage Dictator will read out the passage to PwD candidates within the allotted time period.
