TNAU 2023 is also known as the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Test. It is conducted with the purpose to enrol the eligible candidates in both the Undergraduate, postgraduate & Diploma programs. Whereas, the admission to undergraduate programs will be done based on their marks in class 12 qualifying exam. The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in several fields such as agriculture, forestry, horticulture, etc.

Number of Attempts
- For all those candidates, who belong to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes authority will provide them with three attempts.
- General category candidates have two attempts for the entrance exam.
TNAU Age Limit Criteria
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year (i.e. as on 01.07.2023). However, for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled CasteArunthathiars (SCA) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) there is NO AGE LIMIT.
Nationality Criteria
Candidates who are the native of Tamil Nadu state are eligible for the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University(TNAU) Entrance Exam.
TNAU 2023 Diploma Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check all the essential details regarding TNAU 2023 Diploma Eligibility Criteria which is mentioned below:
TNAU Educational Qualification
- A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereof and fulfilling the following requirements.
- Candidates should have studied and passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or) Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology in the qualifying examinations.
- Candidates who passed HSC under the vocational stream and studied Biology and Vocational Subject Agricultural Practices (theory and practical) are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who passed HSC under the vocational stream and studied Biology, Agricultural Science – Theory, Agricultural Science – Practical and Computer Technology as vocational subjects are eligible to apply.

TNAU Age Limit Criteria
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year (as on 01.07.2023). However, for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Caste
Arunthathiyar/ Scheduled Tribes there is no age limit.
