WB ITI 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check their WB ITI Eligibility 2023 before filling out the application form. Given below are some points regarding the eligibility:

• Nationality: Candidates must possess Indian Nationality.
• Domicile: Candidates should have the West Bengal Domicile certificate.
• Age Limit: Candidates must complete the age of 14 years as of 01 August 2023. There will be no upper age limit.
• Trade courses are divided into two groups. E-Group & M-Group.
  • For E-Group: Candidates should clear the class 8 examination from any recognized board.
  • For M-Group: Candidates should clear the 10 level examination from the recognized board.
• Candidates who passed 10 level or equivalent Examinations without Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects will not be eligible for admission in the Engineering Group of trades.
• Applicants cannot fill for both groups. Aspirants found applying for both the groups will be rejected.

• 50% of total seats are reserved for District Quota for which the candidates, who passed the entry qualification from the schools located within the district where the concerned Govt. ITI is located, will be considered.
• All other general reservation rules such as SC, ST, PH, and WOMAN quota will be applicable for District Quota reservation seats.
• One seat in each of the “E” group of Trades will be kept reserved for inmates (boys and girls) of the State Welfare Homes having educational qualification of class 8 pass.

• West Bengal ITI 2023 Counselling will be conducted from September 2023.
• Selected candidates in the merit list will be called for the counselling process.
• Candidates will have to bring their original documents for counselling.
• After complete verification of the documents and submission of fee seats will be allotted to the aspirants.
• After completion of the counselling process, the seat confirmation letter will be given to the candidates.
• Candidates will have to report the respective ITI institutes along with a seat allotment letter.
