The dates for commencement of admission process for various UG, PG, and Doctoral programmes offered by the Ahmedabad University is given hereby.

The above-mentioned dates are tentative and are subject to change as per the announcement of class XII results by various Boards.

Ahmedabad University B.Tech Admission 2023

The university offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering as a specialization. Admission to Ahmedabad University's Engineering programmes is provided in the following manner:

• 50% of seats will be filled directly based on the JEE Main 2023 score.
• Rest 50% of seats will be allocated through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), a committee set up by the Government of Gujarat.

• Candidates must have qualified the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - JEE Main.
• Have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as main subjects.

Admission to Engineering (B.Tech) programme is not open yet and will be announced shortly.

Ahmedabad University M.Tech and MBA Admission 2023

The admission process of Ahmedabad University for both M.Tech and MBA programmes is different. Hence, the admission process and selection criteria followed by the university in given-below in detail for both the postgraduate courses.

• Intake Capacity: 20 Students
• Duration: 2 Years

The candidate must have completed any one of the following degrees for admission in the Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme:

• B.E./B.Tech in CE/ CSE/ CS/ EE/ ECE/ ICT/ IT/ IC from a recognised university.
• Masters degree in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Mathematics/ Physics.
• MCA (Master of Computer Application) Degree (3 Year Programme).
• The students must score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the above-mention qualifying exam. 
• Students who are appearing in the final year/semester of UG programmes can also apply for admission.

Ahmedabad University will provide admission in M.Tech programme based on the following:

• Valid GATE score OR
• Written Test to be conducted by the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University.

The merit list will be prepared based on a valid GATE score and still, the seats are vacant, then seats will be filled in based on the written test score.

MBA Admission 2023

• The students must complete a Bachelor's Degree (minimum of 3 Years) and score a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) or equivalent CGPA from any  University incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or recognized by the UGC.
• Candidates appearing in the final year examination of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree can also apply for admission.
• Such candidates will only be allowed for admission if they produce a certificate from the authority of the university/ institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent based on the latest available grades/marks (i.e. all the years’ grade/marks except the final year grade/marks). 

• Admission to MBA programe will be provided based on the CAT 2023/ XAT 2023/ CMAT 2023/ NMAT 2023/ MAT 2023-20/ SNAP 2023/ GMAT (valid GMAT score).
• Candidates will be shortlisted based on the score obtained in the above-mentioned competitive aptitude tests and called for personal interaction.
• Admission will be offered to those candidates who will fulfil all the standard performance requirements across all the selection components as defined by the Admissions Committee.

Application Procedure for MBA

• Candidates have to fill the application form through online mode along with the application fee before the due date.
• After online registration, candidates will get a unique login id which should be used for the subsequent admission process. 
• If the candidates have not appeared for any of the competitive aptitude tests can also apply.
• Such candidates will go through the selection process and based on merit provisional admission will be offered.

Ahmedabad University MA (Economics) and MMS (Heritage Management) Admission 2023

• Candidates who have completed a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a demonstrated interest in Heritage are eligible to apply.
• The candidates must hold a Bachelor degree of minimum 3 years with at least 50% marks in aggregates (45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university of India or abroad.
• The 50% relaxation in cut off will be provided by the admission committee in case a degree is obtained before 1990, instead of the personal experience of the applicant since graduation. 
• Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing for the final year examination of bachelor's degree by June 2023 can also apply for admission.
• In such cases, candidates have to provide the final results by September 2023.

Candidates must notify that they have to submit either a portfolio or a standardized test score. If they fail to submit these competent along with the application form, will not be considered for further processing. 

• Portfolio: Candidates who have pursued any studies or work related to heritage have to prepare a portfolio and submit it as a qualifier. 
• Standard Test Score: Candidate who does not have any experience in the heritage sector but is interested in pursuing this programme need to submit a standardized test score. For this purpose, standard test score eligibility will be the same as Ahmedabad University’s MBA admission process. 

• The selection process includes the holistic review process of Ahmedabad University. During this process, certain activities will be performed such as:
• The admissions committee will invite the shortlisted candidates for a Personal Interview after reviewing the Application Form, Statement of Purpose, and the standard test score or portfolio.
• For the outstation candidates, video conference interview (skype or any other feasible option) will be conducted.
• The admission committee will notify the selected candidates via email. 

Application Procedure for MMS (Heritage Management)

To apply for admission in a Master in Economics, candidates have to submit the online application form. Statement of Purpose (SOP) is also needed to be submitted, along with the application form, explaining the reason for joining the programme.

• The hard copy of the signed application form along with the required documents can also be submitted to the Centre for Heritage Management.
• Shortlisted candidates for interview will be notified of their interview date/time by email in February 2023 on a first come first serve basis (for the qualified ones). 
• Applicants from other states may have tele-interview via skype.

MA (Economics) Admission 2023

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelors degree or its equivalent in any field including Engineering and Management.
• Also, have done training in quantitative subjects in 10+2 Standard or at Bachelors level.
• Admissions will be provided based on a valid score in GRE or graduate levels aptitude tests such as CAT/Entrance tests of Indian Central Universities, IGIDR or others.
• Candidates are also eligible to apply even if they are have not appeared in any of these aptitude tests.
• Foreign students must have a valid IELTS score.
• Creative business or social entrepreneurship will also be taken into consideration.

Selection Process

Candidates who will be shortlisted will be called for a written exam and personal interaction/interview. The detailed schedule for the interview will be communicated to the candidates on their unique login id. 

• Students have to submit the online application form along with the prescribed application fee before the due date.
