Amity University, Noida is a private university located in Noida, India, Uttar Pradesh. It was established on 24 March 2005 by an act of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) through the Act of State Legislature. Amity University is ranked as the Number 1 Not-For-Profit private university. 

Amity campus is spread over 4.5 million sq. ft. of built-up area. The university was accredited by WASC, AIU, ACU and NAAC A+ Grade. In 2003, Amity School was started with an enrollment of 120 students. Students passing out from Amity University are eligible to appear for exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, GMAT, GRE, JRF etc.

Amity University offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in numerous fields like Management, Law, Engineering, Medical, Science, Architecture, Fashion, etc. It also offers M.Phil and Research programmes at its Noida campus. Selection Criteria of Amity University for UG Courses

Amity University will provide admission to UG courses based on the written test/creative/physical test as well as the English Language test followed by GD/Personel Interview. The test will be in Englis, therefore, English is a mandatory subject at 12 standards.

  • Admission to B.Tech courses is done based on the entrance test (AMITY JEE) conducted by Pearson VUE (for Amity) and will be held at Amity University, Noida campus.
  • For admission in B.Arch and B.Plan, candidate’s performance in NATA or JEE (Main Paper 2) or UPSEE will be considered.
  • B.Des and BFA applicants must appear in Creative Test conduct by the university itself.

Procedure for Direct Admission in Amity University

Student securing 80% or above in 10+2 level examination (CBSE/ISC/State-Boards of 2020/2019/2018) are exempted from the selection process. Selection will be done based on the Amity Application Form. Direct admission is not applicable for Jaipur Campus.

Amity University, Noida PhD Admission 2020

The university also offers M.Phil, PhD and Psy. D. programs in various disciplines. Admission to PhD will be done based on the rank in PET (PhD Entrance Test). PET will be a computer-based test (CBT).

  • Candidates with a valid score of All India National Level Competitive Examination like NET of UGC/CSIR/ ICAR (ASRB)/GPAT/ICMR/GATE/DST - INSPIRE shall be exempted from the entrance test.
  • Applicants have qualified these exams within the last 2 years from the date of applying for PhD admission at AMITY University.

Amity University, Noida Admission Procedure for PhD

Candidates can apply for the PhD admission in Amity by filling the PET application form through online mode only. But before that, candidates must check the above-mentioned eligibility criteria required for PhD admission.

  • Applicants have to upload the required documents as per the given format.
  • Also, they need to pay the application fee amount Rs. 1100/- via a Credit / Debit card. 
  • Students who will be eligible have to appear for PET entrance test followed by the interview on the same day.
  • Candidates can select the exam date of their choice through Admission Microsite.
  • Last Date to Apply for PhD Admission: 10 January 2020
  • PET (PhD Entrance Test) Exam Date: 08 & 15 January 2020

Amity University Scholarships

Amity University also offers scholarships to its students based on certain criteria. The scholarship is provided in four categories.

Fast Track Admission cum Scholarship (for UG Courses): All the candidates who will be eligible for scholarships for programmes after 10+2, admission will be given on Fast Track. Direct Admission/Fast Track Admission-cum-Scholarship is not applicable for Architecture/Design/Education/Fashion/Fine Arts/Law and Physical Education programs.

Sports Scholarships: To avail scholarship, a candidate must qualify to the eligibility of particular course and upper age limit is 23 years as on 01 July 2020. 

  • 100% Scholarship will be provided to International Players and 50% scholarship will be provided to National Medal winners.
  • Eligible candidates do not have to appear for the Sports Trial & Interview and their admission will be done on the basis of their application form and assessment of sports certificates for the last three years.
