Admission Through CUET UG & PG Exam
All admissions to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes at Central Universities of India are conducted through an entrance examination administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam is known as CUET UG & PG.

CUHP UG Admission 2023
The Central University of Himachal Pradesh offers admission in three-year full-time undergraduate programs in BE, B.A., B.Sc., and B.Voc. Program. The minimum eligibility to apply for undergraduate courses is having passed HSC (10+2) examination from a recognized board with at least 50% marks (5% relaxation in marks for reserved category candidates). Key points:
- For admission to the M.A. Hindi course, candidates who have passed the Shastri exam will be entitled to be given 10% weightage in their composite score limited to the prescribed maximum marks.
- Admission to PG programs will be based on the merit of the composite score which will be determined based on the score obtained in entrance examination and marks obtained in Matric, 10+2, and bachelor’s examination.

CUHP Application form 2023
Candidates need to follow these steps to fill the application form Central University of Himachal Pradesh:
- All admissions shall be based on the applications received in response to the admission notification and issue of this prospectus.
- Prospectus and application form can be obtained as under:

- By Hand: On payment of Rs 100/- in cash from
- By Post: Send a DD of Rs.150/- drawn in favor of Finance Officer, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, payable at Dharamshala, District Kangra (HP).On the following address;

- Application for admission to various Programmes of Study can be made in one of the following manners:
- Online Application: A candidate can apply online by clicking on the link given at the University website (www.cuhimachal.ac.in). The application fee shall be payable as per the instructions given on the Website of the University.
- Hard Copy: In case a candidate is not able to apply online, he/she may download/obtain the application form from the University and send the duly filled-up application form along with a non-refundable Application Fee in the form of Demand Draft payable at Dharamshala, District Kangra, HPdrawn in favor of Finance Officer, Central University of Himachal Pradesh.
- Application Fees: INR 500 (for General / OBC/ Ex-Serviceman) and INR 125 (for SC/ST/PWD)
- Last Date for the Submission of Application: Duly completed application form for admission in the PG program must reach the University on or before the last date of the application form.
Applicants for admission shall be required to indicate two choices of Programme of Study in order of their preference in their application form. The admission shall be made strictly based on merit. The merit shall be prepared based on the composite score of the selection criteria by the preference of the applicant for various Programmes of Study.
Following attested copies need to be submitted at the time of admission:
- 10th and 12th mark sheets.
- Character and Migration Certificate
- Graduation mark sheets.
- Passport size recent photographs
- Category certificates
- Residence proof
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer. (In case of the working students)
Reservation Criteria
The University shall follow reservation in admission as mandated under the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation of Seats) Act 2006, as amended from time to time. The University shall also follow reservation in admission in all Programmes of Study by the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act,1995. University shall reserve seats in all Programs of Study for admission as under:

CUHP Scholarship
The Central University of Himachal Pradesh ensures that no student is lagging in showcasing their talents due to economic reasons. Therefore, the university provides scholarships each year for its students. The university makes it easier for the scholarship through the government agencies
- Admission to Bachelor’s degree (UG) has been based on merit in the 10+2 examination.
- Applicants to B.A., B.Sc., and A B.Voc. has to clean up the HSC examination with at least 50% marks to be eligible for admission.
- Applicants who have turned off Prak Shastri Part II or Visharad examination are given 10% weightage in their composite score at a time point of admission to a Bachelor’s course.
- Candidates applying in M.A., M.Sc., MSW, or MBA courses must hold Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Applicants who have requested a Master’s course will have to appear in the entrance examination being carried out by the university.
- The entrance test is going to be a Multiple Choice-based and there has been no negative marking.
- The composite score for the preparation merit list of PG candidates has been determined by the scores obtained in the entrance examination and marks obtained in Matric, 10+2, and also bachelor’s examination.
- To register for the courses, candidates also visit the university campus to apply directly.
- There is a relaxation in minimum qualifying marks of as many as 5% in case of candidates who belong to the SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), and Persons with Disabilities Categories.
