  • The entrance examination is conducted by the University itself, and covers all relevant subject matter at the Master’s level. Those who have cleared NET / JRF / GATE may be exempted from this test.
  • A written test consisting of few questions related to the subject to test the research aptitude of the candidate may be conducted even for those exempted from the entrance examination.
  • A detailed personal interview is conducted thereafter, which serves as the last stage before the merit list is prepared.

Once selected, the candidates will be intimated about the next process. Verification of all relevant documents and payment of stipulated tuition fee amount is required to complete the processing of admission.

Admission through CUCET in Central University of Tamil Nadu

CUCET is a national-level exam that is conducted by ten central universities jointly. It is a combined entrance test organized for providing admission into various UG, PG & other courses offered by the central universities across India. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for CUCET exam can apply for the exam. The exam is conducted in offline mode i.e. Pen and Paper Based for a duration of two hours. The Central University of Rajasthan is the conducting body of the CUCET exam, and it invites applications from all interested candidates every year. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics also participates in the exam apart from central universities.

Central University of Tamil Nadu

Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) was established in 2009 at Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The University was inaugurated on 30 September 2009 by the then Union Minister Kapil Sibal who laid the foundation stone.  The University has signed MoU with Madras School of Economics, Chennai, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management, Coimbatore.
