BRAU also provides a three-year M.Phil. degree in six different specialisations and a three-year Ph.D. degree in six different fields of research.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme at BRAU must pass the Dr. BRAURESET test.

• GATE / CSIR / UGC-NET / SLET / other equivalent national level examinations are taken into account. The tests selected are subject to B.R.Ambedkar University's judgement.
• Applicants for admission to BR Ambedkar University must pass the entrance examination with a minimum score of 40%, with a 5% remission for candidates from the SC/ST categories.

AUCET 2021 (Andhra University Common Entrance Test) will be conducted by Andhra University for admission to  PG courses like M.A. / M.Sc / M.Com / M.Ed / M.Tech etc.  The candidates who have completed 10+2+3 level of education can apply. AUCET Exam paper contains 100 MCQs of 1 mark each. Candidates required to attempt maximum questions in 150 minutes.

• Step I: Visit the official website i.e. http://www.brau.edu.in/
• Step II: Click on the ‘Admission’ section from the home page 
• Step III: Fill in all the asked details in the application form such as name, email id, mobile number, address and course details, etc. Once all the details have been successfully filled in, click on the ‘Register’ button.
• Step IV: This will open the admission page where candidates need to fill in details like their contact details, academic details and upload passport-size photographs (in jpeg format and within 100 KB)
• Step V: Now candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs 500. Application fees can be paid in online mode through a debit card/ credit card or net banking.
• Step VI: At last, print the filled application form for future use.
