Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth also denoted in short form as PDKV is a state university and basically known as the College of Agriculture is located on the beautiful premises of Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is situated in the "Orange city of India". This is one of the oldest colleges in India build-up by the British government. It came up in force in the year 1906. There are many colleges associated with this university which are located in different states like Pusa, Kanpur, Pakisthan, Coimbatore. This institute was mainly set up to develop the agricultural facilities and tarin and develop better methods of agricultural practices as at that time India faced a debt in the field of Agriculture. The institution is now under the shade of dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr.P.D.K.V., Akol. Now at present, the institution is headed by Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Nagpur. It offers a total number of 35 courses and specializations across 3 main streams. The famous courses of this institute include B.Sc. , B.E and B.Tech. This is a public university and now it is mainly under the control of the Maharashtra Government.
