Himalayan Garhwal University Admission 2023 Reservation Policy
The university offers reservations to the candidates based on the following criteria:
- Under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the Himalayan Garhwal University Act, 2016, for admission in various courses conducted, 31% of seats shall be reserved for the permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand.
- University shall adhere to the state policy of reservation for the purpose from time to time and same shall be applicable for admission to any academic programme for OBC, SC-ST, & physically handicapped candidates, over the intake fixed for each academic Programme.
- The University may reserve a certain number of seats for NRIs, foreign nationals, PIOs, industry personnel candidates.
Himalayan Garhwal University Admission 2023 Merit List
The University prepared merit list based on the following 4% weightage marks:-
- 4% weightage those, who have participated in the games at National I State I Inter-University games in AIU (Association of Indian University)/ IOA (Indian Olympic Association) Sponsored/ Recognized or Who has Certificate of Training in sports by SAi(Sports Authority of India).
- 4% weightage to the dependent of H.G.U Employee (Son/Daughter.Wife/Husband).
- 3% weightage for NCC "C" Certificate holders OR "G - II" Certificate holders.
- 2% weightage for NCC "B" Certificate holders OR "G - I" Certificate holders only in Qualifying Exams.
- 3% weightage for participating in National Scout Scheme (NSS) - having served for 240 Hrs. and participated in 2 Camps of 7/10 days. OR 2% weightage in NSS for having served for 240 Hrs. and participation n Camp of 7 / 10 days OR 1% weightage, who have served 240 Hrs. in NSS or 120 Hrs. service in NSS with 1 Camp or above.
- Following weightage is allowed for participating in Scouting and in activities relating to Ranger/ Rover-
- 4% weightage, who has been honored by The Hon'ble President of India.
- 3% weightage, who has been honored by The Hon'ble Governor.
