IACS Eligibility Requirements.

Candidates looking to apply for the IACS Kolkata program have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria: they must have completed their higher secondary education with a minimum aggregate of 70% and secure at least 85% in their admission test. Additionally, candidates must submit their academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and proofs of identity alongside their application forms.

Educational Qualifications.

Successful applicants should possess a minimum aggregate of 70% in their higher secondary education. Candidates must also show proof of mastery over the selected stream with an 85% or above in the IACS admission test. The applicant’s academic transcripts and other specialist examinations, such as IIT JEE, GATE, and CAT results must be included to ensure the candidate is eligible for the institute’s program.

IACS Admission Test and Interview Process.

The selection of students for the Institute’s engineering and science programs is based on an entrance test and interview. Candidates should take the IACS admission test and interview which will assess their knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry and/or biology, depending on the subject they are applying for. Based on the performance of applicants in these examinations along with their resumes, selections will be made.

Fees and Financial Aid.

For hailing citizens, there are no tuition fees and some students may be provided with partial scholarships based on merit. For out-of-state candidates, tuition and other fees apply. All students will have the opportunity to apply for financial aid depending on the results of their entrance exams. In addition to these, other schemes such as government subsidized loans may also be available in some cases.

Documents Needed for IACS Admission.

Before you begin the application process, make sure you have all the necessary documents for admission. This includes recent photographs, class X and XII mark sheets, proof of residence (Aadhaar card/Voter ID card/Passport), SC, ST or OBC certificates (if applicable) and valid photo identification proof. Additionally, foreign students must also provide a valid passport and study visa.
