IIFT or Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was established in the year 1963 as an autonomous public business school by the Indian Government (Ministry of Commerce & Industry) to help professionalize the country's foreign trade management & increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analyzing and disseminating data; and conducting research. The sprawling campus of 7 acres provides state of an art facility to the faculty and management students of IIFT. MBA-IB is its flagship program. It conducts an autonomous entrance examination across various centers in India to offer admission to the candidates. IIFT offers various courses like MBA offering core subjects and electives in Marketing, Finance, Systems, Operations, and Trade, Three-Year Part-Time MBA (International Business), Executive Master's in IB, PG Diploma in IB, MA in Economics & Ph.D. course. 
IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) New Delhi is a premier management institute in India offering MBA in International Business (IB). IIFT New Delhi Admission 2023 process will begin tentatively in the month of August 2022. The admission process is expected to be conducted in two phases – the first phase includes IIFT entrance exam, while the second phase includes group discussion, essay writing, and personal interview. The entrance exam is conducted online and tests the candidates' knowledge in areas such as quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, and data interpretation. Successful candidates are then called for the second phase of the admission process.

MA (Economics) 

  • Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate in any relevant discipline. 
  • 5% relaxation of marks is given to SC/ST/PwD category students.
  • Foreign nationals must have a CGPA of 4 on a 5 point scale and 8 on a 10 point scale.
  • Students in their final year of study are eligible to apply.

There are two stages for selecting students for MA Economics and they are as follows:

Stage I: Shortlisting

Applicants are shortlisted for MA (Economics) based on objective aptitude test and a descriptive type test. 

Stage II: Final Selection

After being qualified in the first stage, applicants are called for an interview round. The final selection is based on the score obtained in interview round.

MBA in International Business(Full Time)
  • Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline from a recognized board/university.
  •  Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply on the condition that they have to submit the proof of their pass certificate by October of the year of the start of the course.
  •  There is no age limit to apply for this course.

For Indian aspirants: selection will be based on the Written test, Essay write-up, Group Discussion, and Interview whereas for foreign nationals /NRI/Children of NRI: on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)

MBA(IB)(Weekends)
  • To apply for this one should hold a Bachelor’s Degree with three-year work experience (after graduation) in the managerial cadre as of 30 June of the year of the start of the Course.
  • Company sponsorship or No Objection Certificate from the employer is required to be submitted at the time of admission.
  •  Candidates of any age can apply for this.
Group Discussion, Essay Writing & Interview to be held in the month of May.

MA in Economics-

(Specialization in Trade & Finance)

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50%marks in aggregate for open category candidates & 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) categories and should have Mathematics at the SSC level.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis.
  • There is no age limit for IIFT MA admission.
Written Admission Test & Personal Interview.

EPGDIB 

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and a minimum of 5 years of managerial work experience.

  • Candidates must have a PG Degree / Engineering Degree with 50% aggregate and a minimum of 3 years of managerial work experience.
  • For sponsored candidates, No Objection Certificate from the employer is mandatory at the time of admission. 
  • There is no age limit to apply for this program. 
  • IIFT Delhi review applications and shortlist candidates based on their qualification and work experience
  • Shortlisted candidates are called for Interview at IIFT Delhi for On-Campus EPGDIB admission. 
  • For Hybrid EPGDIB admission, candidates are shortlisted by the faculty committee.

IIFT MA(Economics) Admission 2023 Selection Process for Foreign Nationals/NRIs

The requirement for admission to the MA programs is listed below for foreign nations.

  • Should have a CGPA of 4 on a 5-point scale or 8 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at XII level.
  • There is no age limit.
  • A maximum of five seats is allocated to the Foreign Nationals / NRIs.

IIFT Delhi PhD Admission 2023

A five-year Doctoral (PhD) degree in Management and Economics is offered at IIFT Delhi. General Management & Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and IT Innovation & Technology Management are the five specialties currently available in the PhD in Management programme. This curriculum is tailored to research academics, university and institute of higher learning teaching faculty, and professionals from the private, public, and government sectors.

Eligibility
  • Candidates must hold a Master's degree with a grade point average of 55 percent or higher. Candidates holding an M.Phil in Economics can also apply for a PhD in Economics.
  • Candidates who have completed a PGDM programme, which is a diploma programme that is equal to a Master's degree, are also eligible.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant teaching or research experience is also required for part-time candidates.
  • In all programmes, a 5% mark relaxation will be allowed exclusively for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / PwD applicants.
Selection Criteria

Candidates for the PhD programme at IIFT Delhi are chosen through a two-step procedure that includes:

Step 1: Take a written exam.
Shortlisting will be done based on previous academic qualifications and job experience. Following that, all eligible candidates will be asked to take a written test administered by the institute.
Step 2: Final Selection/Interview
Candidates who pass the written test will be contacted for a personal interview, which will be announced through email. The final merit list will be compiled based on research experience, academic qualifications, work experience, and written test and interview performance.

Candidates who have been chosen will be expected to report to school for fee submission and seat confirmation. If you fail to do so, your admission offer will be cancelled, and the seat will be assigned to an applicant on the waiting list.

Ph.D Application Process

  • Download the application form for Economics or Management from the official website.
  • Manually fill out the application form.
  • Fill in your personal information, professional experience, and work-related research.
  • Copy and paste a recent colour passport photo.
  • Send the referees (2) a letter of recommendation in the format specified on the application form.
  • Make a demand draught in favour of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, payable in New Delhi, for INR 2500/- for general applicants and INR 1250/- for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
  • The application fee for international candidates will be $120 USD.

IIFT Delhi Cutoff 2023

MBA(IB), MA(Economics), PhD, and certification programmes are all available at IIFT Delhi. The IIFT entrance test scorecard is used to determine MBA admission. In February, the cutoff for the admission exam IIFT Delhi (2023) will be set and publicised. Also, the entrance exam used to have six sections, but today it just has four: Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness (GK) components.

For the class of 2023, the projected cutoff for the IIFT, Delhi admission exam is 105-130 out of 300. Candidates from outside the United States must obtain a score on the GMAT entrance exam. For admission to the MBA programme, candidates must have a GMAT score of 650 or higher.

IIFT Delhi provides a two-year MBA programme. The IIFT, Delhi entrance test scorecard is used to determine MBA admission. The entrance cutoffs for different IIFT campuses are projected to stay in the range of 110 to 120 in 2021. Find out more about the IIFT Delhi Courses and Fees for 2023.

NTA will consider certain factors before generating the IIFT cutoff list, such as the difficulty level of the entrance exam, which will result in a low cutoff, the number of candidates, which will result in a higher IIFT cutoff, and seat intake capacity, which is also one of the components for determining the IIFT cutoff.

IIFT Cutoff 2021 : Analysis

The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness (GK) components of the IIFT Entrance Exam are divided into four sections. There are 35 questions in the VARC components, 30 in the DILR components, 25 in the QA components, and 20 in the GK components.
