Indian Information Technology Institute (IIIT), Ranchi was established in 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It is an autonomous institution funded by Jharkhand, Government of India (GoI). IIIT Ranchi offers courses to B.Tech, M.Tech, and Doctor of Philosophy. IIIT Ranchi offers the undergraduate program in two specializations. IIIT Ranchi is supported by NIT Jamshedpur and aims to provide the students with academic excellence and development. IIIT Ranchi Admission 2023
The Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi offers admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The admission process varies for different courses. Here are some important points to note:
- For admission to BTech, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/ Biology from a recognized board. Selection will be done based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA counselling.
- For admission to MTech, candidates must have a BTech degree in a relevant discipline with at least 60% marks. Selection will be based on GATE scores.
- For admission to PhD programs, candidates must have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 60% marks. Selection will be based on the entrance exam conducted by the institute.
- The institute also offers an integrated program in Computer Science and Engineering (BTech+MTech). Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/ Biology from a recognized board. Selection will be based on JEE Main scores.

- The application fee for BTech is INR 1500, for MTech it is INR 1000 and for PhD it is INR 500.

IIIT Ranchi Admission Process 2023
To seek admission to the courses offered at IIIT Ranchi, candidates must visit the official website of various national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form online. Seats filled up on the basis of the All-India Quota of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for the JEE (Main) examination administered by CBSE. For IIIT Ranchi fees and IIIT Ranchi fees structure candidates are requested to go to its official website. Following is the admission process for B.tech.
- Students must score a good rank in the national entrance exam.
- The student should apply through JoSAA and select IIIT Ranchi from the preferred institute list
- The online seat allocation process will be started after selecting the institute
- If seats are already confirmed in IIIT Ranchi then report to the nearest reporting centre before the deadline else wait for the second allotment round.
- Report IIIT Ranchi for seat confirmation and admission.

- Students must visit the official website
- After visiting the site fill the application form mentioned on the website.
- Take the printout of the application form
- Draw a Demand Draft of INR 1000/- (500 for SC/ST/Women) in favor of IIIT Jamshedpur payable at Jamshedpur
- Send the Application form with Demand Draft and other required documents to IIIT Jamshedpur.
- Write the Applicant’s Name/Post for Applied at the back of DD.
- Envelop must have the heading ” Application for M.Tech/Ph.D. Admission in Department Name, IIIT Ranchi.

IIIT Ranchi Admission Counselling
IIIT Ranchi will begin 2023 counselling for all eligible students. After the results of the above-mentioned examinations have been conducted, candidates will report to IIIT Ranchi for confirmation and admission to the seat. Candidates are expected to attend the counseling round on the date specified at the venue to ensure their admission. Candidates will carry along the original copies of the aforementioned documents along with their self-tested photocopies. On the day of IIIT Ranchi counselling, they would also have to bring a scorecard of the national entrance exam.
Candidates must have to carry the following documents during the process of counselling.
- Class 12th and 10th certificates
- UnderGraduate Marksheet (if applicable)
- PostGraduate Marksheet (if applicable)
- Cast certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Passport size photographs attested by any gazetted officer. etc

As IIIT Ranchi's establishment year is 2016, therefore, the 1st batch will be sitting for placement in 2023, We will update the placement information as soon as the 1st batch appears for placement. Although IIIT Ranchi is mentored by NIT Jamshedpur thus placements are expected to be good.
