• For admission in BTech programs, candidates must be eligible for JEE Main and JEE Advanced

IIT Jammu M.Tech Admissions 2023

Special consideration will be provided to the candidates having a BTech degree from an IIT with at least a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 with a valid GATE score.

Application Process for IIT Jammu M.Tech

Applicants must first register with the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) because the COAP registration number is required to complete the IIT Jammu application form. Candidates must next go to IIT Jammu's official website and click on the admission portal.

The full M.Tech application procedure at IIT Jammu is completed online. Following the completion of the form, the scanned photos of the needed documents must be sent. After that, you must pay the application fee by credit card, debit card, or netbanking. Once you receive confirmation that the form has been filled successfully, the application procedure is complete. The application form must be downloaded and saved for future use.

The documents needed to fill out the IIT Jammu entrance form are listed below.

• Provisional certificate of the qualifying degree
• Submit the qualifying degree certificate within 15 days of the commencement of the classes
• Class 10th and 12th mark sheet and certificate 
• Category certificate (for OBC-NCL / SC / ST as applicable)
• GATE Score Card
• Latest passport size photograph and signature

IIT Jammu Ph.D. Admissions 2023

IIT Jammu had started the anytime Ph.D. programme in February 2018 with a specialization in Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics discipline. In December 2018, IIT Jammu added a new course of Ph.D. in English (HSS). Institute strongly focuses on research in interdisciplinary areas to solve real-world problems and to benefit society at a huge level.

IIT JAMMU Ph.D. Eligibility criteria:

Candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admission in the Ph.D. programme provided by IIT Jammu:

• M.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics or B.Tech./M.Tech. /M.Sc.(Engg.) in relevant disciplines with at least first division or equivalent CGPA.
• For HSS, Interested candidates should have a Master’s degree (with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA)) in the related subject/field (Humanities and Social Sciences) and those aspirants must be  NET qualified.
• Admission in Ph.D. program (Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics/HSS) requires CSIR/UGC NET/GATE/DST INSPIRE/NBHM qualification. For Engineering branches, GATE qualification is mandatory for M.Tech. degree holders, and for B.Tech. degree holders with exceptional academic qualifications.
• Fulfilling Minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee to shortlist for Ph.D. admissions.

Application Process for IIT Jammu Ph.D

After the institute announces the notice for IIT Jammu admission, application forms for Ph.D admission are accessible at iitjammu.ac.in/phd. Candidates must register based on their admission exam results and supply all essential information.

Candidates must have the documents listed below on hand.

• Qualifying degree marksheet of all semesters/ consolidated marksheet
• Scanned images of Photograph and Signature
• Class 10, 12 marksheets and certificates
• Result awaited candidates have to upload their latest/previous semester mark-sheet.
• Caste certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable.
• Experience certificate and any other relevant documents., whichever applicable.

IIT Jammu Cutoffs

All six rounds of counselling for admissions to the B.Tech programme for the academic year 2021 were completed successfully by JoSAA. IIT Jammu has announced the JEE Advanced 2021 cutoff scores per category, along with the starting and closing ranks for all six rounds of JoSAA counselling. IIT Jammu set the highest cutoff for its most popular programme, B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, at 3671 (OP), with the general category candidates closing at 5238 in round 2. In 2020, the cutoff for the B.Tech CSE branch was higher. The general category students began with a rank of 3110 and ended with a rating of 5218.

The cutoff marks of national level entrance tests such as JEE Advanced and GATE are used to determine admission to IIT Jammu's programmes such as B.Tech and M.Tech. The cutoff scores for the various programmes at IIT Jammu are published by the relevant qualifying examination authorities. The GATE cutoff is issued through the COAP, and the JEE Advanced cutoff is released through JoSAA Counseling.

• IIT Jammu B.Tech Cutoff 2021

On the basis of the JEE Advanced cutoff scores, IIT Jammu offers a total of six specialties in its four-year B.Tech degree. After the successful completion of the counselling procedure, JoSAA announces the JEE Advanced Cutoff scores for all 6 rounds of counselling in the form of opening and closing ranks. The JEE Advanced 2021 cutoff scores for each category and specialisation have been issued by IIT Jammu. IIT Jammu has declared the highest cutoff for B.Tech CSE admissions in 2021 at 3671-5238 for general category applicants.

IIT Jammu Scholarships

Stipends/scholarships for Ph.D students will be awarded in accordance with MHRD regulations. For the time being, the following rules apply:

• In the first two years of the degree, students are paid INR 31,000 a month as a stipend.
• In the senior Ph.D. fellows, the monthly stipend is INR 35,000.
• Any UG/PG student will be required to complete certain hours of academic work under the supervision of a supervisor as part of this process. The scholarship will be awarded only after the submission of a certificate signed by the assigned supervisor attesting to the satisfactory completion of the assigned obligations.

IIT Jammu Placement

Chegg India, L&T Infotech, Amazon, DESAY SV Automotive, Optum, and other notable MNCs participated in IIT Jammu placement 2020. Summer internships are also available at IIT Jammu, but they are not required for all students. There has been a small drop in the number of students placed for internships.
