Admission to BLISc course is done on the basis of candidate's mark in the written admission test conducted by university. The Entrance Exam is of 100 objective type Multiple choice questions with the total duration of 90 minutes. The paper is of 100 marks and there is no negative marking.

The University provides admission in M.Phil. program in 15 different disciplines and Ph.D. in 19 disciplines. Candidate must have postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline for admission in M.Phil. degree and for Ph.D. course, candidate must have Master’s or M.Phil. Degree in relevant discipline.

Jadavpur University Application Process 2023
The university will release the Jadavpur University application form for the admission in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the first week of June 2023. Interested candidates have to register first for filling the application form of Jadavpur University. The last date to apply for different courses may vary. University will not accept any application after the last date of submission. After filling all the details in the Jadavpur University 2023 application form, candidates have to pay the application fee in online or offline mode. While applying for the Jadavpur University application form of B.Sc. programmes, candidates have to upload the admit card of class 12th exam.
How to fill Jadavpur University Application Form 2023?

- Step 1 - Registration
- Visit the Jadavpur University official website.
- Enter the personal and educational details.
- Candidate have to enter the registration number and roll number of the last qualifying examination.
- Select the subjects studied in high school and/or undergraduate level along with the marks secured in the particular examination.
- Candidates can click on the ‘preview’ button to check if all the entered details.
- Then, click on ‘save’ button if all the details entered are correct.
- If candidate want to edit any details, then click on the ‘cancel’ button and return to the ‘Home’ page.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- Step 2 - Generating Unique Application Number
- Candidates can now choose the subject they want to enrol. They have to choose at least one department to get the unique application number.
- If any candidate applies for a course in which they are not eligible, then a pop up box will appear displaying he/she is ineligible for the course.
- At last, click on the ‘save’ button to get a unique application number. Candidates have to use this application number for future logins.
- Step 3 - Application Fee Payment
- After filling the registration form and application number generation, candidates have to pay the registration fee which is Rs 150 for all category candidates.(As per last year)
Mode of Payment
- Registration fee can be paid in online mode using a credit card, debit card,s and net banking, etc.
- For offline mode, candidates have to print their bank challan and have to submit it at any branch of SBI and remit the fees. Once the university will receive the amount, an acknowledgment slip will be uploaded at the candidate’s account. Candidates have to wait for a minimum of 48 hours to see the updated acknowledgment status.

- Candidates must fulfill the admission criteria set by the university for the courses of their interest. If any candidate is found to be ineligible for admission at any moment, then the university has the right to cancel the candidature of such applicants.
- Candidates, pursuing postgraduate courses, who are yet to appear in their undergraduate examination will have to show a certificate during counselling/admission.
- Candidate must have mark sheet with honors degree for the following courses- M.A. in Bengali, Comparative Literature, Economics, History, Education, Linguistics, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Political Science with IR and Sociology. Otherwise, admission will not be provided by the University.
