KUD conducts the semester examinations twice in a year i.e. in May & December. Students can check their UG & PG external results (for distance mode) & PG results (for constituent colleges) by following the official website of Karnatak University.
Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for the revaluation/re-totaling/challenge valuation of the answer sheets. To apply for the revaluation, candidates have to challenge the evaluation process by submitting the application form along with the provisional copy of the marks sheet within 15 days from the date of declaration of the result to the respective principal or the Chairperson of the designated college. The Chairpersons/ Principals are informed to accept the applications with internet copy of the marks card without waiting for the original marks cards up to 15 days and send the applications received from the candidates along with the applicable fee to the

Karnatak University is a state university. The Bombay legislature of the erstwhile Bombay Presidency established Karnatak University through the Karnatak University Act 1949. The University became a statutory University on 1st March 1950. The jurisdiction of the University covers Dharwad. Gadag, Haveri, and Uttar Kannada districts. KUD has several Post Graduate centers. The University (888 acres) is offering courses in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Education, Law, Management, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences. Symbolic of the University’s vision and mission the emblem of the University consists of the papal trees at the center, an open book. Figures of a bull, a rising sun, and the legend ‘Arive Guru’ i.e., Wisdom is Guru, implying that both wisdom and knowledge should be all-pervading like the ramifying papal tree and light up the world with knowledge and eradicate illiteracy. There are 47 PG Departments, 224 teachers, and 4500 students (PG, M.Phil., Ph.D.). In this university girl students constitute 47% of the total strength. Including the PG Diploma, M.Phil, and Ph.D. Courses. 6% of the students are from outside the State. To eliminate social exclusion and promote social justice, seats are reserved for SC/ST, Cat-I, Minorities, OBC, and BC categories under the policy of the State Government.
