KSLU or Karnataka State Law University was established in the year 2009 by the Karnataka government as a state university in Navanagar, Hubli. It covers an area of 55 acres of land. It has an affiliation with the UGC( University Grants Commission). Nearly, 92 Karnataka law colleges are affiliated with it. The university offers various undergraduate and postgraduate law courses in subjects such as Constitutional Law, Business and Trade Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Criminal Law, and International Law. At present KSLU offers the 3 years LL.B. course, 5 years B.A., LL.B., B.B.A., LL.B. and B.A., LL.B., (Hon's) B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) integrated programmes and LL.M. programme apart from certificate and P.G.Diploma courses.

OR - Applicants should have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate or First Degree Certificate after the distance or correspondence method.
- Age Limit - General category candidates should not be less than 20 years and 22 years in the case of SC, ST, and other backward communities as on 01 June 2023.

Applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation or post-graduation through the open Universities system directly without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission to any of the Integrated courses.
