For B.Ed., M.Ed, LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. courses:

The candidates can apply for the desired course by filling up the Kumaun University Online Application Form which is available at the official website of the University. Following is the procedure to obtain and fill up the Kumaun University Online Application Form

• Candidate must visit the Kumaun Univeristy official website and navigate to the Admission section.
• Click on the link given for online application on the web page.
• A new Online Admission portal will be open where the candidate must click on the desired program he/she wishes to pursue.
• Click on Apply Online, and candidates are required to deposit the fees by clicking on the ‘PAY FEES’ tab.
• Candidates will be redirected to a new web page where they can pay either online or can generate challan.
• Enter the details asked by the bank during payment which will be transferred to University record. Candidates will receive a 10 digit Character Transaction Number by the bank.
• Provide bank transaction number and date of birth before starting the online application.
• The university will receive fees payment within 24 hours, at the time of applying, the database will verify the payment and will allow you to proceed.
• Fill the form carefully and upload the scanned Photograph and Signature in JPEG format.
• Alter filling the form, the system will generate Registration Number and Password which would be sent to the candidate via SMS and E-mail.
• Application fees for Ph.D.: INR 2000 + 50 (Portal Charges).

For B.Sc. Forestry

Candidate can download the application form from the official website. Send the duly filled form with DD of INR 500 in favor of Head, Department of Forestry payable at Nainital or can also be paid via Cash

For M.Pharm:

• Candidates can obtain the application form from the department by paying application fees in cash.
• Candidates can also send DD of INR 1500 in favor of the ‘Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences – M.Pharm. Course’ payable at Nainital along with a self-addressed envelope with postage stamps of INR 50.
• Candidates can also download the form from the official website and send it with DD of INR 1500 (INR 750 for SC/ST) in favor of ‘Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences – M.Pharm. Course’ payable at Nainital. Post the filled application in the address given below.

Kumaun University Entrance Exam Pattern

Kumaun University Research Degree Entrance Test (RDET) is conducted for admission to the Ph.D. Program. The candidate needs to fill the Application Form for  RDET from Kumaun University's official website. The candidates must read the conditions of eligibility as given in the information brochure.
