Kurukshetra University is also known as KU was founded in the year 1956 by the then Governor of Punjab, Sir Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh. It is among the premier institutions for higher education and research in Kurukshetra. The University's vision is to be globally acknowledged as a distinguished centre of academic excellence. Kurukshetra University has a sprawling campus spread over 473 acres near the southern banks of Bhram Sarovar. The University offers 175 courses on the campus in 47 Departments through a highly qualified faculty. The University is affiliated with 282 colleges and institutes in seven districts of Haryana.

Kurukshetra University Application Procedure 2021
- Before filling the Admission Application Form, the candidates need to read the Prospectus available on the university website. Applicants will submit their Application Forms online on the University website for admission and print out of Admission Application Form filled in online along with relevant documents and receipt of the fee, should reach in the office of the Chairperson/Director of the Department concerned by the due date as per schedule.
- Applicants who apply for admissions to B.A. LL.B.(Hons.), Pharmacy, BFA courses for which admissions will be made purely on the basis of merit of Entrance Test need not supply the print out of online Admission Application Forms along with relevant documents in the concerned Department, they will have to bring all the original Certificates along with two sets of self-attested photocopies on the day of counseling.
- Applicants can download their Admit Cards (applicable only for Entrance Test-based courses) from the University Website before the date of conduct of the Entrance Test. In case due to any reason, if an applicant can not get his/her Admit Card up to two days before the Entrance Test, he/she must contact the office of the Director of the concerned Department. Such applicants must bring two recent passport-size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Head of the Department/Institute last attended by him/her to obtain a duplicate Admit Card, 1-2 days before the Entrance Test. There will be no issuing of the Admit Card on the day of the Entrance Test.
- The print out of the Admission Application Form along with relevant documents, if sent By Post, must be sent through Registered/Speed Post.
- Applicants seeking admission in educational institutions (including medical and technical institutions) located in Haryana, may not be required to produce a Resident Certificate if they have passed the examination from a school/college situated in Haryana.
- For this purpose, a certificate of the Principal from the concerned institution where the children studied last should be considered sufficient. The Principal of the institution shall be competent to issue such a certificate, which should be sufficient.
- The price for the form is INR 600 (INR 150/- for SC/BC/Blind candidates of Haryana only).
