PhD Admission consists of Entrance Test & Interview
1 Introduction: The Lingaya’s University operates its PhD Programme on the UGC guidelines.
2. Entrance test and Admission: Admission to PhD at Lingaya’s University will be done on the basis of a written test followed by an interview for the candidates qualified in the written test.
Written Test: The Written Test will be a qualifying test with qualifying marks
of minimum of 50%. The written test will consist of two parts – 1) Research
methodology and 2) the Specific Core Subject.The written test will have both short answer and long answer type questions.There will be questions to test the knowledge and familiarity of the applicant on the subject and ability to apply the principles to solve problems and the basic knowledge of the applicant and awareness of state of the art in the field. The
questions on Research Methodology will test the basic awareness and
knowledge of the applicant the principles, methodologies and various matters involved in pursuing Research.
Exemption from Entrance test: Applicants who have qualified in UGC/ CSIR
(JRF) Exam/ SLET/ GATE / M .Phil (As a Regular Candidate from UGC
Recognized University for admission to non-engineering disciplines), may not be required to appear for the University's Entrance Test. However, their
appearance in the interview will be mandatory for admission for such category applicants.
