MGU Kottayam Admission 2023 is based on candidate performance in the last qualifying degree merit/ marks scored in the university entrance exam. Mahatma Gandhi University was established in the year 1983 as a public university in Kottayam, Kerala, India. It is approved by the UGC and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. MGU Ph.D Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate must have Master's Degree in related field with minimum of 55 percent marks (Reserved category candidates i.e. SC/ST/OBC/Specially Abled candidates and for candidates applying under Professional category must have 50%).
- Candidates have to appear in Written Aptitude Test (WAT) conducted by university.
MGU Ph.D Selection Process:
- Candidate must have qualify the WAT exam.
- Candidates who have qualified UGC/ CSIR/ DST/ National/ State Level Fellowship/ GATE/ GPAT/ SLET/ NET/ M.Phil are exempted from PhD entrance examination and can apply directly for the Personal Interview.
- The selection of candidates will be purely based on merit list prepared by university on the basis of marks obtained by candidate in the entrance exam, in Personal interview (PI), and in their Post Graduation examination.
