NIT Puducherry Application Form
The candidates seeking to apply for the NIT courses will have to follow the below steps:
For B.Tech
B. Tech aspirants can apply for JEE Main and Advanced on their web portal.
For PhD
- Visit the official website of the university.
- The filled up application form along with self-attested photocopies of the necessary enclosures should reach to the ‘The Associate Dean (Academic), National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Thiruvettakudy, Karaikal –609 609.
- A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- for open categories (Rs.500/- for SC / ST / PH) has to be paid through SBI Collect, which is to be mentioned in the application form.
- The documents which have to be submitted along with the filled form are as follows:
- Valid Photo-ID proof
- Mark-sheets and certificates of all qualifications.
- Character Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution/Department last attended.
- OBC / SC / ST / PD certificate, if applicable.
- Proof of Date of Birth.
- GATE/NET qualification certificate as applicable
- Appearing Certificate
- Certificate of sponsorship
- Experience Certificate if any
- Reprint of research publications (1st page only), if any

About NIT Puducherry
The National Institute of Technology Puducherry is a public technical and research institution in Karaikal, Union Territory of Puducherry, which is a coastal enclave in the Kaveri River basin inside Tamil Nadu's Nagapattinam District. The campus of NIT Puducherry is located over 258 acres in the suburban villages of Poovam and Thiruvettakudi in the city of Karaikal in the Union territory of Puducherry. The campus of NIT Puducherry is entirely residential. Internet and LAN access are available throughout the institute and hostels. Boys hostel, girls hostel, scientific block, administration block, guest house, director residence, and staff residence make up the campus. A sports complex featuring a football field, basketball court, cricket field, and badminton court is also available at the institute. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked NIT Puducherry 130th among engineering colleges in 2020.
