NIT Goa B.Tech Admission 2023 

NIT Goa offers B.Tech program in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. NIT Goa B.Tech program is an 8-semester long full-time program. The eligibility criteria is that the candidates must have passed 10+2 exams with 75% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects. Preference will be given to the top 20% of the respective board or its equivalent. The selection is based JoSAA 2023 for admission to various courses. Admissions are open for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs and other premier Technical Institutions. NIT Goa offers following specialisation at B.Tech degree level:

NIT Goa M.Tech Admission 2023 

NIT Goa offers M.Tech program in 3 specializations i.e. Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI and Power Electronics and Power Systems. The institution offers full-time M.Tech program with a duration of 2 years. The minimum eligibility criteria is that the candidates must have done B.E/B. Tech with at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10- point scale) or 60% for OC/OC-EW/OB, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates from a recognized university or its equivalent. The selection criteria is based on counselling conducted by NIT, based on GATE Score of the year 2018, 2019, 2023. The other details related to admission in M.Tech program can be found below:

• The candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies (IE, ICE, IETE, ANSI, IIChemE, IIM, IIE) and have enrolled on or before May 31, 2014, are also eligible to participate in the CCMT-2023 counselling process.

• Candidates having GATE score in 2018 will be given preference over candidates having a score of 2019, or 2023.
• Candidates having GATE score in 2019 will be given preference over candidates having a score of 2023.
• If the year of GATE score is the same, then preference will be given to that candidate who has obtained better GATE marks out of 100. 
• In the unlikely event of their GATE marks out of 100 and the year of GATE score being the same, then preference will be based on the All India Rank (AIR).
• In the highly unlikely event of candidates having same GATE Year, GATE marks out of 100, and AIR, then ‘Date of Birth’ will be considered. 

Online seat allotment Process

There shall be three regular rounds (Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3) of seat allotment and a mop-up round called National Spot Round (NSR) in CCMT-2023. Candidates having secured a seat in the CCMT 2023 counselling have the option of exercising one of the following willingness:

• Floating
• Sliding
• Freezing

NIT Goa PhD Admission 2023

NIT Goa offers a PhD program in 5 major areas of study i.e Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Applied Sciences, and Humanities & Social Sciences. This premier institution of study offers a PhD in both full time and part-time mode.

The eligibility criteria is that the candidates must have completed M.E. or M.Tech. in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA (6.0 CGPA for SC/ST candidates) or 60% marks / 55% Marks (SC/ST) in both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels from recognized Technical Institute or University for specialization in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. For other specializations candidates must have Master’s degree in Sciences or Humanities / M. Tech. in relevant specialization with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA (6.0 CGPA for SC/ST candidates) or 60% / 55% Marks (SC/ST) marks in both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels from recognized Institute or University.

NIT Goa Admission 2023 Application Procedure

Candidates need to follow these steps to fill the form of NIT Goa through various entrance test conducted all over India to get admission in various courses:

Candidates selected under JoSAA 2023 will be required to register at the NIT Goa online portal. Aspirants can only register after “FREEZE/ SLIDE” the seat at NIT Goa.

Interested candidates can apply for CCMT 2023 by online application process within the stipulated time.

Application Fee for M.Tech. Program

• OC/OC-EW/OB Candiadtes- Rs. 2500/-
• SC/ST/PwD Candiadtes- Rs. 2000/-

Application Fee can be paid through SBI MOPS using Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card or through e-challan at any branch of SBI.

• Application form for PhD program can be downloaded from the NIT Goa website. Further, duly filled-in application form along with the documents mentioned above must be sent to the NIT GOA, 403401.
• A Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for General and OBC and Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates should also be enclosed along with the application form.

• Document Verification-cum-Seat Acceptance Letter, issued from the Reporting Centre.
• Provisional Seat Allocation letter issued in 7th round.
• Class X (High School)Board certificate, as proof of Name and Date of Birth.
• Mark sheet of the qualifying examination (Class XII).
• School Leaving / Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.
• Photo Identity card issued by Govt. Agency (Preferably AADHAR).
