Rajiv Gandhi University was established on 04 February 1984 and is the oldest in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is situated in the Rono Hills of Doimukh Village. The University is located atop of Rono Hills on a picturesque tableland of 302 acres overlooking the river Dikrong. It is a central university under the MHRD, Indian Government since 09 April 2007 and is accredited by the University Grants Commission. RGU Itanagar Admissions Based on CUET UG & PG
CUET UG 2023 registration has commenced from February 9, 2023, as announced by NTA. The application form for CUET UG 2023 can be filled online on the official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in until the last date of submission, which is March 12, 2023. The CUET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to take place from May 21 to May 31, 2023.
As for the Rajiv Gandhi University PG program, the CUET PG 2023 exam is scheduled to be held between June 1 and June 10, 2023. The registration for CUET PG 2023 is anticipated to begin in March 2023.

Note-
- There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST and OBC (NCL) holding Honours or Pass course degree. Candidates with B.Ed. degree having minimum 45% marks are also eligible for the course of M.A in Education.
- For admission to M.Tech program, candidates with valid GATE score are given preference.

RGU Itanagar Admission 2023 for M.Phil & Ph.D
RGU offers admission in M.Phil & Ph.D. program in Anthropology, Political Science, Hindi, Economics, Mass Communication, Tribal Science, History, Geography, Commerce, Botany, and Zoology. Admission is these courses is based on the marks obtained by candidates in the university entrance level RGUMPET exam followed by a Personal Interview. UGC/CSIR-JRF qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test and have to appear for the personal interview only. Note -
- M.Phil candidates from RGU or any other UGC-recognized university are also exempted from the test. Ph.D. scholars of the university are directly eligible for UGC (non-NET) Fellowship.
- 25% seats are for M.Phil students from RGU or any other UGC recognized university,
- 25% of seats are reserved for JRF holders and the remaining 50% for candidates applying through the entrance test.
