RD University UG Admission 2022

Rama Devi University offers various UG courses for the duration of 3-year with a wide range of specialization which students have to select one subject as Honors along with compulsory and elective subjects. These Undergraduate programs are available in Honors as well as General modes. Candidates can check eligibility criteria, specialization, available seats, and selection criteria from the table given below:

• Only women's candidates are eligible for taking admission in the university
• Those students who have represented the country at the International Level in NSS will be given direct admission.
• Candidates applying for admission in +3 Sc. Honours (Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology) should have Biology at +2 level.

Documents required at the time of Admission

Candidates applying for UG courses may need the following documents at the time of admission for verification purpose:

• 3 passport size colour photograph.
• Mark sheet of the +2 / 12th or equivalent examination.
• College/School leaving and conduct certificate from the Educational Institution last attended.
• Matriculation / HSC Certificate as proof of Date of Birth.
• Certificate(s) in support of claiming reservation, Weightage and domicile, if applicable.

Rama Devi University offers postgraduate courses in 10 different subjects with a course duration of two years. The admission is done in PG courses is based on marks scored at graduation level and PG Entrance conducted by RDWU. Rama Devi University offers M. Phil. for the duration of one-year in a wide range of specialization. The detail about the course eligibility criteria, specialization, Available seats, and selection criteria are given below in the tabular form-

• Candidates who have qualified in the National level tests (UGC, NET, GATE, SLET, ICHR) are exempted from the entrance test.
• Admission for these courses are based on the performance of the career cum entrance test and viva vice ( weightage of 40% in entrance test + 40% weightage in written test + 20% weightage to viva vocal) 

RD University Application procedure 2022

Candidates can fill the application by the following steps :

Documents required at the time of application:

• Scanned copy of recent passport size photograph in JPG format with size not more than 150×180
• Scanned signature with size not more than 50 KB
• Scanned copy of marks sheet
• Scanned copy of Caste/ Migration Certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned copy of PWD/Ex-Serviceman Certificate (if applicable)
• E-Receipt of Application Fee
• Residential Certificate

Reservation of Seats:

For all the courses reservation of seats will be as follows:

• As per the Government of Odisha Notification No.HE-PTC-SAMS-0006-2017/10161/HE Bhubaneswar dated 07.04.2018 following reservation principles will be adopted:
  • 22.5% of seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Tribe students.
  • 16.25% of seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste students.
• The seats reserved for SC & ST can not be interchanged. If any seats to be filled through the reservation category are left vacant, then such seats will be filled up from the candidates of the General merit list. SC/ST caste certificates, issued by Revenue Officers, not below the rank of Tahasildar/Additional Tahasildar is to be produced
• 5% of the total number of seats in each subject will be reserved for (PWD) students with the extent of disability, not below 40% (blindness and low vision, hard of hearing, locomotor disability including dwarfism, acid attack victims, cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, and muscular dystrophy, autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness)
• 1% of the sanctioned seats shall be reserved for Self/Husband/Children /Wife of ExServiceman, Serving Defence Personnel & Children of Martyrs.
• Sports
  • One seat of the total seats is reserved for the candidate who has represented in the international sports event during the last 03 years.
  • Those who have represented the state during the last three years at National level sports shall get 10% of marks over and above the aggregate career marks. NB-Sports events, approved by the Indian Association of Universities, will only be considered. Candidates have to submit the Sports Certificate signed by the Director of Sports and Youth Services.

• Hostel: The University maintains three well-maintained student hostels, one for PG students and two for UG students. The Wardens are in charge of them, and they provide superb security. The Mess is also recognised for serving wonderful and nutritious meals to its residents.
