Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya (SJSV), Puri was established on 7th July in 1981 by the chief minister of Odisha Prajnana Vachaspati Sj. Janaki Ballabh Pattanayak, an eminent scholar of Sanskrit. There are 142 Sanskrit institutions of the state including 5 Mahavidyalaya and 137 Vidyalayas. It offers various UG, PG, Ph.D., and certificate courses with different specializations. SJSV Admission 2023 is based on an entrance exam conducted by the university with different eligibility criteria for different courses. There are various departments in the university. The candidates must have passed Shastri/+3 (Arts)/ B.A/Acharya or any equivalent  examination thereto from a recognized University/ Recognized examining body after qualifying in the SSET (Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test), Sanskrit as a subject for nontraditional stream i.e. +3 (Arts), B.A/ MA etc. as desired is mandatory. A cut of marks of 50% (without F.C & A.C) in Shastri/+3(Arts)/M.A/Acharya level in aggregate is essential. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.

Note: A candidate must have to cross the minimum age limit of 20 years on 1 July 20.

SJSV Application Procedure

The following steps can be followed by the candidates to fill the form of SJSV:
  • Visit the website i.e http://www.sjsv.nic.in/
  • Candidates have to go to the candidates' corner section and download the application form and fill it.
  • Now fill the correct details like name, date of birth, father’s name, course name, residence details, phone no.,class, gender correctly.
  • Then candidate’s application no. and password will be displayed.
  • Then choose the examination button and open it.
  • The next step is to click on the download link and complete the application form.
  • Another next step is to hit the submit button in order to load the form.

Documents Required

The following documents are required:
  • Self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets of the qualifying exam
  • The documentary evidence in support of the reserved categories
  • A self-attested stamped envelope of 10x4 size affixing postage stamp of Rs. 22/- only for registered post/Rs.42/* only
  • Three recent passport size photographs
  • Identity card for SSET duly filled in.
  • Admit card for SSET duly filled in.

Application Fee

The application fee for the B.Ed course is Rs. 700/- which should be paid when the application form is filled.

SJSV Admission 2023 Admit Card

Following steps can be downloaded the SJSV hall ticket by following the given steps:
  • Visit the official website i.e http://www.sjsv.nic.in/
  • From the home page click on the Hall Ticket link which is provided at the bottom of the page
  • Then a page will display on the screen asking student login details i.e. Enrollment number and password.
  • Enter the necessary details and click on the login button
  • Download and take a printout of the admit card.

SJSV Admission Results (Merit List)

The results of the candidates can be viewed from the official website of the university. It will disclose the roll number where the list of all candidates who will appear for the exam and the merit list for anyone who will qualify for the exam. 

SJSV B.Ed Entrance Exam Pattern

The Sikshastri Entrance Test (SSET) will be composed of question papers in the shape of multiple-choice and the OMR sheet  will be made available for an answer. It will be of 200 marks maximum marks exam and each question will carry 1 mark.
