SMU East or Sikkim Manipal University is formerly known as the Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences is a public university situated in Gangtok, Sikkim, India. It was established in the year 1995 and is affiliated by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 vide letter No F. 9-7/96(CPP-I). SMU East Sikkim Admission 2023 for UG Courses
The university provides UG-level courses comprising numerous specializations. BPT, B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, BBA, B.Com, and BS Engineering are offered by the university. The university also offers a lateral entry in the B.Tech programme. - In exceptional cases, a candidate with a B.Tech./B.E./M.B.B.S degree having high first-class with relevant experience commensurate to his proposed research and experience equivalent to a post-graduate degree in the relevant field may be considered for registration on the special recommendation of the University Research Committee (URC). Such candidates will be required to complete a higher number of credits (24 to 36 credits) as course work compared to 10 to 12 credits for those with postgraduate qualifications.
