TNJFU Admission 2023 is on the basis of candidate merit in the last qualifying exam for UG courses. While for PG and Ph.D. programmes, the university conducts its own entrance test followed by interviews. For admission, candidates have to register themselves by filling the application forms online. The university later publishes merit lists for eligible candidates and notifies students about the counselling round. TNJFU Admission 2023 Postgraduate Course
TamilNadu Fisheries University Nagapattinam offers a number of postgraduate courses in various disciplines. TNFU enrolls students to its multiple M.F.Sc. programs through entrance examination. TNJFU Application Form 2023
The university offers an online application mode, for which application fees are to be charged online mode. Candidates should follow the process for TamilNadu Fisheries University Nagapattinam online admission given below.
- Candidates should visit the TNJFU official website firstly and click on the Admission to download the Prospectus which contains detailed information regarding all the courses.
- Students must carefully check for the eligibility criteria in the Prospectus. After ensuring the fulfillment of the same, they should proceed towards the application form by clicking on the Online Application link which should be followed by Apply Now option.
- After verifying all the details, students must Save the application form. The final step will be to click on the Submit option followed by the payment of the application fee.
- After that candidate will receive an SMS carrying their Login ID and Application number. While the Login ID must be used to download the form in order to get a hard copy of the application form, the Application number should be used as a reference for any queries.
- If the candidate fails to receive an SMS, he/she must contact the Admission Committee through e-mail or phone number.
- Students should attach a recent passport photograph and get it attested by a Group A or Group B officer or the Head of the Institute in which he/she has previously studied to the hard copy of the application form.
- The candidate must get the declaration signed by his/her parent/guardian which must be enclosed with the application form as well.
- The application form's hard copy along with necessary documents must be carried at the time of admission counselling and must be produced along with the original documents as per the instructions.

TNJFU Entrance Exam Pattern
The university conducts entrance examinations of one-hour duration for the admissions to its doctoral programs. The candidate must appear in the subject that he/she has studied during post-graduation. The examination carries MCQs with four listed options to choose the correct answer from. The maximum marks of the examination are 40. The center of examination is Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. Those who have qualified Senior Research Fellowship of ICAR do not have to appear the entrance examination.

The Department of Fisheries was started in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) during 1973. The Fisheries College, Thoothukudi was established in 1977 and the first batch of students for B.F.Sc., Programme were admitted. The Fisheries College was upgraded as Fisheries College and Research Institute (FCRI) during the year 1989. The Fisheries College and Research Institute (FCRI), Thoothukudi became a constituent Institute of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) with effect from 20.09.1989. Tamil Nadu Fisheries University (TNJFU) was established on June 19, 2012 with head quarters at Nagapattinam. In due course of time, the TNJFU have gained widespread recognition as University of excellence.
