For admission in various courses provided by Tezpur University, candidates have to go through the following steps:

• Tezpur University Admission will be conducted in online mode only. The registration form is available on the official website of the Tezpur university i.e. http://www.tezu.ernet.in/.

Tezpur University Placements

Tezpur University has a Training & Placement Cell that is particularly routed to function in accordance with the well-being of interested students in placements. • Library at the University
  The University has a Central Library that has an ever-growing collection of books, periodicals, and journals. The Central Library has 53390 books, 5084 back volumes, 169 active print journal subscriptions, 778 e-resources, and three online databases.
• Accommodation in a hostel
  Separate hostels for males and girls are available at the university, which can accommodate all students and research scholars. There are 7 women's hostels and 5 men's hostels in total, with a combined capacity of over 3300 people.
• Services for Health
  The University maintains a Health Centre with its own medical and paramedical staff to provide basic medical services. Three full-time, highly qualified physicians staff the Health Centre. In addition, professional doctors such as radiologists, gynecologists, and psychologists make weekly visits to the University. A health insurance plan is also available to students. From August 25, 2014, the newly admitted student will be protected by the insurance.

The Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL) at Tezpur University was founded in 2011 with the goal of disseminating information and providing high-quality education through open and distance learning.

Tezpur University Distance (TU CODL) offers a variety of postgraduate degree and diploma programs. CODL applications can be filled out online for a fee of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST).

• Master's degrees in sociology, English, and mass communication are available at TU CODL.
• In addition, the university provides distance learning programs in Human Resource Management,
• Environmental and Disaster Management, Child Rights and Governance, and Renewable Energy and Energy Management.
• TU CODL offers merit-based admission to all postgraduate degree and diploma programs.

TU CODL offers part-time MA programs in sociology, English, and mass communication at the postgraduate level. The MA program takes two years to complete.
