LNMIIT JAIPUR Admission 2023 is done on the basis of candidate merit in national-level entrance exams. LNM Institute of Information technology is a deemed university located in Jaipur. The Institute was established in the year 2003 and has a campus area of 100 acres. The institute operates as an autonomous non-profit organization and is a public-private partnership venture between the LNM Foundation and the Government of Rajasthan. B.TechThe applicants must be appearing in JEE Mains 2023 Examination.
Candidates must secure aggregate marks of at least 60% or equivalent grade in class 12 Board Examinations

Selection Procedure of Undergraduate Courses

  • LNMIIT will draw a merit list on the basis of total percentile scored in JEE Mains in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Candidates must score a minimum cut off individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as the total NTA percentile in JEE Mains 2023, which will be considered while preparing the merit list for admission in LNMIIT.
  • The Admission would solely depend on the merit list drawn by the Institute considering the Eligibility and above-mentioned criteria.
  • Application Fee for the B.Tech program's Admission is Rs. 1600/-(Non-refundable)

Selection procedure

  • The shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview conducted by Lateral Admission Committee based on the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.
  • Application Fee- Applicants will have to pay Rs. 1600/- to apply for lateral entry admission in 2nd year B.Tech.

DASA( Direct Admission to students from Abroad)- Only for Foreign Nationals/ PIOs/ NRIs

Residential Requirements
  • The applicant must be a Foreign National/ a person of Indian origin residing outside India.
  • A foreign National may have completed the qualifying examination in any country(Including India).
  • However, for a person of Indian origin residing outside India, he/she must have completed Class 11 and Class 12 education from abroad.
Academic Eligibility Criteria
  • The applicant must have a minimum valid score of 1440 in SAT subject tests( Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry).
  • The Applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% marks or equivalent Grade in class 12 board examination.
  • The Applicant must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% Marks or equivalent Grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12 Board examination.

Category 1. Students with a JAM score equal to or above the cut-off marks for the general category will be exempted from the written test.
Category 2. Candidates not belonging to category 1 have to appear for the written test. The written test will be a qualifier for them.

All candidates have to appear for an interview. A common merit list will be prepared based on their performances in the interview only.

M. Tech. (CSE/ ECE) and MS (CSE/ ECE/ CCE):

All the GATE qualified (in the general category and in the respective subject) candidates will be exempted from the written test. There will be two separate merit lists for various categories of candidates as described below.

Category 1. Candidate securing more than 95 percentile in GATE and having a B. Tech./ B. E. degree in the concerned subject will also be exempted from the interview. A separate merit list will be prepared for them solely based on their GATE score. They will be eligible for direct admission and they will be preferred over the other category of candidates for admission.
Category 2. Merit list of candidates with GATE score <95 percentile will be prepared based on their performances in the interview only.
Category 3. Non-GATE qualified candidates having a B. Tech./ B. E.degree in the concerned subject will have to appear for both the written test and the interview. The written test will be a qualifier for them and they have to secure certain cut-off marks set by the respective department. Candidates must score at least 50% marks in the written test to be qualified for the interview-based merit list.
Category 4. Candidates from other relevant disciplines having a valid GATE score in the subject they are seeking admission will be considered. Since they are qualified in the GATE exam they will be exempted from the written test. However, irrespective of their GATE score, they have to appear for the interview and their selection will be based on their performance in the interview only.

A common merit list of Category 2, 3, and 4 candidates will be prepared based on their performances in the interview only.

Selection Procedure

  • Admission in PhD Programme is offered to eligible candidates on the basis of an entrance examination and an Interview.
  • All candidates who qualify in the written test examination have to appear for the personal interview on the same day or very next day.
  • Candidates who have qualified for National level Fellowships like CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, NBHM PhD scholarship or equivalent valid fellowship in the relevant subject/discipline may be exempted from the written test but they will have to appear for Interview.

LNMIIT JAIPUR Admission 2023 Application Process

  • Visit the official website https://www.lnmiit.ac.in/ and click on the link as per course preference.
  • Candidates will be redirected to a page, read about the programme information, and press on Click here.
  • From there, candidates will come across a page which will give details regarding the Application form, Application fee, and documents required. 
  • Applicants need to register themselves after which they will receive an Application Id and a Password.
  • Candidates need to log in with the given credentials and fill the application form.
  • Next step is to upload the documents and the application fee which is Rs. 250/
  • Lastly, applicants will receive a confirmation page that must be kept safe for the counselling process.

  • A scanned copy of a recent colored photograph in JPEG format.
  • A scanned copy of the class 10 mark sheet certificate
  • A scanned copy of the class 12 mark sheet certificate.
  • Scanned copy of the last degree mark-sheet/transcript
  • Scanned copy of the provisional degree certificate/degree certificate (if available)
  • Two letters of recommendation from faculty who taught at the last degree level or from the relevant industry, research lab where the applicant may have either carried out an internship or may have been employed.
  • At least one of these letters of recommendation should come from the university/college, where the applicant may have studied last. For this purpose, the names of the referees along with their official e-mails addresses are to be provided by the candidates in the online application portal.
  • The referees will be contacted electronically through auto-generated mail to submit their recommendations online.
  • Statement of purpose(SoP) - Applicants are required to write a one-page Statement of Purpose (SoP) in their own words to upload.

LNMIIT JAIPUR Scholarships 2023

In order to encourage merit, foster internal competition, and support economically disadvantaged students with a specific degree of academic success, the LNMIIT has made several sorts of Scholarships and Assistantships available.

  • Merit Scholarships

Based on the following academic criteria, for choosing top rankers/meritorious students.

First SemesterSecond Semester [LNMIIT's academic performance (CGPA of 9.25 or above)]
Category-1: The top 20 scorers on the JEE Advanced exam (in the general category, up to the top 5000 scorers). The scholarship amount has increased from INR 35,000 to INR 35,000 per semester.Category-1: The scholarship award is up to INR 35,000 every semester if you have a CGPA of 9.81-10.
Category-2: The top 20 scorers on the JEE Advanced exam (if they are in the top 7500 in the general category). Per semester, the scholarship is worth INR 30,000.Category-2: The scholarship award is up to INR 30,000 per semester for category-2 students with a CGPA of 9.51-9.8.
Category-3: The top 20 scorers on the JEE Advanced exam (if they are in the top 12000 in the general category). Per semester, the scholarship is worth INR 25,000.Category-3: The scholarship award is up to INR 25,000 per semester for category-3 students with a CGPA of 9.25-9.5.
  • BPL Scholarships

A limited number of BPL Scholarships are given for the most needy pupils.

Academic Qualifications
  1. Not applicable in the first semester.
  2. Beginning in the second semester: Students must maintain the required minimum academic achievement in order to keep their scholarship (Academic eligibility: CGPA of 6.0 and above with no backlogs). The sum is equal to the entire tuition charge.
Note: The first drop in CGPA below 6.0 will result in a warning, and if the trend continues in the next semester, the scholarship will be terminated. If there is a backlog, the scholarship will be terminated immediately. However, if a CGPA of 6.00 or more is achieved again, the scholarship will be reinstated.

Financial Eligibility

BPL cardholders and National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries with an annual income of less than one lakh are eligible. (In some states, the BPL and APL categories were amalgamated into new categories, such as Patragrihasthi (Priority household) and Antyodaya, after the implementation of the aforesaid Act.)

  • Vijay Bhatnagar Scholarship

Based on the following criteria, for a deserving and financially challenged female student. The scholarship will be worth INR 50,000. (INR 25,000 per semester).

  1. Academic Eligibility: This award is for an intellectually gifted female student with a CGPA of 8.5 or higher and no outstanding debt.
  2. Financial Eligibility: Parental income is less than five lacs per year.
  • Assistantships

In lieu of academic/community support work, certain semester/term-long assistantships/ stipends under the Earn While You Learn (EWL) scheme are offered.

  • Merit-cum-Means Assistantship

Based on the following criteria, for a few deserving and financially challenged students. The value of the assistantship is equal to half of the tuition cost.

  1. Academic Eligibility: JEE (Advanced) AIR up to 12000 or JEE (Main) Percentile of 97 and higher in the first semester. From the second semester onwards, a CGPA of 8.50 or higher is required, as well as no backlog.
  2. Financial Eligibility: Parental income is less than five lacs per year.
  • Type “A” Assistantships

Allowable to a limited number of students (maximum four recipients, including all years) who are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of the loss of a breadwinner in the family during the Degree Period. The sum of the assistantship is equal to the whole tuition charge.

Financial Eligibility : Parental Income (of the surviving parent/guardian) must be less than 5.0 lakh per year. SGPA of 6.50 or higher is required for assistantship continuance.
  • Type “B” Assistantships

It is permissible to handle students' financial difficulties (against work in the Departments, Projects, Library, etc.). The sum of the assistantship is up to 6000/- per month.

  • Type “C” Assistantships

Allowable to address the financial challenges of (a maximum of six recipients, from all years) students (against work in hostels). The value of the assistantship equates to full or partial hostel cost waivers.

  • Type “D” Assistantships

Acceptable to a select few (maximum of two recipients across all years) students who have a single parent and are experiencing substantial financial difficulty as a result of the family's lack of a second breadwinner throughout the Degree Period. The sum of the assistantship is equal to the whole tuition charge.

Financial Eligibility : Parental Income (of the surviving parent/guardian) must be less than 5.0 lakh per year. SGPA of 6.50 or higher is required for assistantship continuance.
  • UG Teaching Assistantships

Available to deserving students in exchange for lab/theory work. The amount of the assistantship is up to 4000/- per month. When a semester or term is in progress, no one would be allowed to freely leave an assistantship of this type.

Key Points

  • A student may not be awarded more than one scholarship or assistantship.
  • According to financial provisions established by the Governing Council, the maximum number of each category of Scholarship/Assistantship is set for each year. If there are a large number of eligible applications, income and/or merit benchmarks, as applicable, will be used for inspection and subsequent scholarship/assistantship award, with attendance, if recorded, not falling below 85 percent.
  • It is not a question of right to get a scholarship or assistantship. It is a privilege granted by the Institute in order to promote internal competitiveness and, as a result, academic performance while also providing assistance to those in need. The Institute has the right to amend the policy circumstances, as well as to abolish or increase/decrease the amount of scholarship/assistantship.
  • The Institute periodically reviews its scholarship and assistantship policy.
