Lucknow University Admission 2023 Important Dates

Lucknow University Admission 2023

• Selection to the B.Tech course is on the basis of merit secured in UPSEE/ JEE Main and made through the AKTU counseling process
• Other UG and PG admission is on the basis of entrance tests or merit-based
• MBA course selection is carried out through the Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (PGET). Those who have valid score in the CAT/ MAT/ XAT are exempted from PGET
• For B.Ed admission, candidates have to appear for the U.P JEE B.Ed followed by a counseling process. 

Centralized Entrance Test (CET) by Lucknow University

A Centralized Entrance Test (CET) for all candidates would be conducted by Lucknow University.

• The Lucknow university conducts CET for various courses at the level of UG, PG, and Ph.D. Programs for admission.
• Students seeking admission in any of the courses must check the eligibility criteria of a particular course, branch, etc.
• The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject-specific.
• The candidate must also check the fee structure of Lucknow University Admission 2023

Centralized Undergraduate Admissions

The admission in undergraduate courses will be carried out under Centralized Undergraduate Admissions 2023.

• As per the decision taken in the admission committee meeting held on August 2020, admissions in the faculty of arts, commerce, law, science, and fine arts undergraduate students shall be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th or equivalent examination.
• Candidates need to register at UnLOC (Online Off-Campus Counselling Portal) University of Lucknow's Counselling Portal.

Centralized Postgraduate Admissions

The admission in Postgraduate courses will be carried out under Centralized Undergraduate Admissions 2023.

• Gap Certificate: If there is a gap in taking admission after graduation/qualifying examination, then a certificate by the Notary on Rs. 10.00 Stamp paper has to be submitted at the time of admission.
• Eligibility and guidelines for Admission to the Post-Graduate Courses, in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Law, and Fine Arts: A candidate will be eligible for Admission to Postgraduate Courses if he/she has completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with a 10+2+3 system from any University recognized by University Grants Commission.

Lucknow University B.Tech Admission 2023

Lucknow University offers a B.Tech program in various disciplines full-time as well as in lateral entry.  Candidate should have cleared 10+2 with PCM with at least 55% marks and 50% for reserved categories candidate in aggregate.

• Applicants have to qualify in UPSEE 2023 to get admission to this program.

For Lateral Entry, B.Sc or Diploma in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and 55% for reserved categories.

Note: After the UPSEE counselling, the applicants need to visit the Office of the Coordinator, Lucknow University, Faculty of Engineering, Second Campus, Jankipuram.

B.Tech and MCA Admissions

• Admissions to the  B.Tech. and MCA programs of the University of Lucknow, Lucknow for the academic session 2023 – 22 will be based on Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2023).
• The entrance examination for degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges (UPSEE-2023) is being conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
• Candidates who have appeared in the entrance test can participate in the counseling process. 
• Direct Admission: In case there are seats vacant after the UPSEE 2023 counselling, the Lucknow university will advertise these seats on its official website.

Lucknow University MBA and MTTM Admission 2023

Lucknow University also offers MBA & MTTM courses in various specializations at the postgraduate level. Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks is the required eligibility criteria for getting admission.

Note: 5% relaxation of marks will be given to the SC/ST candidates.

Lucknow University Under Graduate Admission 2023

Post Graduate M.Ed., B.P.Ed. M.P.Ed. Admission Details

The M.Ed., B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed admission will be based Postgraduate Entrance Test.

• Admissions will be done only on the basis of marks obtained in the written test and academic index. There will be no interview. Details of entrance tests and formulas for calculation of academic index are given in the admission guidelines.
• Admission to this course is done on the basis of M.Ed. Entrance Test conducted by the university in accordance with the orders of Govt. of U.P., Lucknow University statutes and regulations of NCTE.

Centralized B.El.Ed. Admissions 

• The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.) programme shall be offered only in a constituent or affiliated college of Lucknow university or a constituent or affiliated college of Lucknow University offering multiple Teacher Education Programme or Department of Education, Lucknow University itself.
• Qualifications for admission: The minimum qualifications for admission to the B.El.Ed. shall be a pass in the 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent exam with a minimum of Fifty percent marks.
• Centralized Entrance Test (CET): Candidates seeking admission to Elementary Teacher Education  (four-year degree programme) shall have to qualify the prescribed Centralized Entrance Test (CET), specially designed to assess the candidate’s potential or any other selection process as per the policy of Lucknow University.
• Basis of Admission: In the B.El.Ed. the program shall be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted for this purpose.
• The B.El.Ed entrance test will comprise 100 objective-type questions. And the duration of the examination is 90 minutes.
• The questions will be from Language ability (Hindi and English), General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability. 
• Intake: Total intake of B.El.Ed. Course in one unit shall not exceed fifty students in a class or decided by NCTE norms enforced from time to time.

UP B.Ed JEE 2023 - Joint Entrance Examination B.Ed Admission in Uttar Pradesh

The entrance exam for the Uttar Pradesh Bachelor of Education Joint Entrance Exam (UP B.Ed JEE) is organized by different UP colleges every year.

• The Admission in Bachelors of Education B.Ed will be based on UP Joint Entrance Examination.
• Lucknow University conducts UP B.Ed JEE for admission to 2-year Bachelor of Education course in UP colleges.
• About two lakh B.Ed. seats are offered for admission in hundreds of colleges of the state.

PG Diploma, Advance Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate Admissions

The admission in various diploma courses at postgraduate, advance, diploma, and certificate level courses are based on eligibility criteria set by Lucknow university. 

Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

As per the LU Ph.D. Ordinance 2018 the admission would be done on the basis of entrance test and interview

• The candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. courses at Lucknow University must check the admission guidelines and LU Ph.D. Ordinance 2018 and check his/ her eligibility at the time of application.
• The University will not be verifying the eligibility at the time of submission of the online application by the applicant.
• All candidates who have applied will be allowed to appear in the entrance test. The eligibility will be verified by the University at the time of the interview.
• All candidates who are desirous of taking admission to the Ph.D. programs of the University of Lucknow have to appear and qualify for the Centralized Entrance Test (CET) conducted for this purpose.
• All candidates who qualify for the CET with the minimum prescribed cutoff have to attend the interview.
• Candidates who qualify for the CET and appear in the interview will be considered for the final merit.
• Candidates who qualify for the CET but do not appear for the interview will not be considered for the final
  merit.
• The marks of qualified candidates and nonqualified candidates will be displayed only after the declaration of the final merit list. This is being done to remove the value judgment or bias from the interview board.
