UOU Application Process 2023

• Visit the UOU official website.
•  Click on the “Application Form 2023-21”. In doing so, the application form will appear on the screen.
•  Start filling the application form by filling in all the details.
• After filling in the application form, 
• The candidate must download form and submit the hard copy at his/her study center along with the copies of self-attested testimonials.

Note: Those who opt for admission through the online process, are not required to pay Rs. 100/- towards prospectus fee.

Candidates must keep the following documents ready before filling the application form.

• Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number, etc.)
• Address for Communication (including PIN code)
• Eligibility degree details (College address, PIN code of college)
• Good quality image of your photograph conforming to the requirements specified in Photograph Requirements.
• Good quality image of your signature conforming to the requirements specified in the Signature specification.
• Optional: Your Net-banking login and password to make the application fee payment via online net banking mode. Alternately, you may wish to pay via the Bank challan mode.

UOU Entrance Exam Pattern

CRET exam is conducted in three levels, Level I, Level II, and Level III for admission in P.h.D.

• Test Structure for Level-I

Level I comprise of objective type multiple-choice questions. The total time allotted for completion of this level is 3 hours. There will be two sections for level I, Section A and Section B. Section A must be completed within 1 and half hours and covers questions from the topics General Awareness, Academic Aptitude, Research Aptitude. There will be 50 questions (for Section A) each carrying 4 marks. Section B also includes 50 questions to evaluate the subject proficiency of the candidate. Here also each question carries 4 marks which need to be answered in time duration 1 and half hours.

• Test Structure for Level-II

Level II test is conducted in the subjective model and the sections cover questions on subject expertise and research aptitude. The total time allotted for the completion of the section is 3 hours and total marks are 200. There will be three sections for this level. Section I includes short answer type questions of 10 numbers, each carrying 10 marks. The minimum word limit for each of these questions is 50. The second section includes medium answer-type questions. There will be 3 questions of 20 marks each. The candidate needs to answer each of these questions in at least 200 words. The third section includes one question only. The long answer type question carries 40 marks and one should answer this in at least 400 words.

• Test Structure for Level-III

The final round, level III, is an interview section. This section also includes other forms of appraisals like presentations and group discussions. Those who get successful at one level can only move to the next level. At least 40% marks in each of the sections of level I or level II is mandatory to get qualified for level III. 

UOU Merit List

Uttarakhand Open University will release the merit list in online mode. For checking the UOU merit list, candidates have to visit the university's online portal. To check the merit list, candidates has to steps mentioned below:

• Visit the official website of UOU.
• Click on the link available on the Homepage displaying "Admission 2023".
• Select the exam (Main or Back Exam).
• Select the programme for which candidates have enrolled.
• Click on the “Click here to download Merit list”
• The Merit list page will appear.
• Candidates are advised to download the merit list for admission purposes.

• Passing/Degree certificate of the last qualifying  examination
