Uttaranchal University Scholarship 2020 : Eligibility, Amount of Scholarship

Uttaranchal University Scholarship is provided to all the meritous candidates for their higher education without any financial obstacle. The scholarship is given on tuition fees only to those who will perform extremely well in their qualifying examinations. The University offers the same for all its courses under different categories which have been discussed below in the article.
Uttaranchal University Scholarship Policy 2020
The Uttaranchal University provides scholarship to the candidates separately for Law programmes & other programmes under different categories. The award of the scholarship will be applied to the net Tuition Fee only. The candidates can apply for the scholarship only on fulfilling the following conditions:
- All courses/subjects of their qualifying examinations are cleared in the first attempt.
- This scholarship is applicable for the first year only.
- There will be no rounding of CGPA or the marks in their qualifying exam.
For Law ( BA LLB, BBA LLB & LL.B )Programmes only

Hilly States Domicile Scholarship
Under this, the university provides 15% scholarship to the domiciled candidates of hilly states like J&K, Laddakh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, & Darjeeling, Siliguri districts of WB.
Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girls
Under this, the university awards 10% of tuition fee for the first year of all the programmes only.
For Brother/Sister of Alumnus & to the Siblings
- 5% of tuition fee is awarded under this to the siblings of alumnus.
- The candidates must submit Aadhar card/any valid id proof having the names of parents.
- Marksheet/certificate of Alumnus
Uttarakhand State Domicile Scholarship
This award is common to all the programmes.
- The Uttaranchal University awards 26% scholarship to UK residents, 40% of seats for these students are reserved throughout all the Law Programmes of the University.
- The candidate must carry a valid Domicile certificate (Original) of Uttarakhand State at the time of admission/counselling to avail this scheme.
Scholarship to the Wards of Defence Personnel
This scholarship is common to all programmes.
- The University awards 5% scholarship to the son/daughter of defence personnel.
- To claim this award the candidate must carry a valid certificate (Original) of their father/mother at the time of admission/counselling.
Documents Required at the time of Admission for Wards of Defence Personnel
ID card of the servicemen & ID/Aadhaar card of the student in case of all
- In case of serving Defence Personnel & deceased Defence Personnel in combat
- Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen / A certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the servicemen
- In the case of retired Defence Personnel
- Discharge certificate of the servicemen
