VIMSAR MD And MS Admission 2023

The Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research offers MD and MS programs in various specializations. Candidates should have done MBBS or equivalent from any recognized institute to take admission in the PG courses. The final selection is done based on the candidate’s performance in NEET PG. For 50% of seats under state quota, counseling is done by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Government of Odisha based on NEET PG score only. A total of 53 seats are available for admission under the state quota.

1. Report at the Admission Desk at Education Section to the Edu-Clerk
2. Put signature in the Attendance Sheet and collect your institute admission folder
3. Fill up the relevant forms of the admission folder including the cover page
4. Deposit the documents (original) along with self-signed photocopies listed in the document submission form
5. Proceed to OPD block of the hospital for a medical and fitness test
6. Get your documents verified at the verification desk
7. Deposit the fee DD
8. Put signature in the admission register
9. Receive the following documents (original) before leaving

The institute is one of the oldest institutes imparting higher education in medical science. VIMSAR is located in Burla. VIMSAR is a Government-run college. It is regulated and monitored by the Medical Council of India. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in medical sciences. Formerly known as the VSS Medical College and hospital, this rural medical college has been catering to the needs and serving the health needs of western Orissa and a few parts of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Its main objective is to impart health services to the rural people of MP, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, and parts of Jharkhand who are unable to afford to undergo the expenses of a multi-specialty city hospital.
