How to Apply for VITEEE
Following are the steps for applying to VIT Vellore :
- Visit the Official website of the Institute.
- Then click on Apply now.
- Start filling the form.
- The form should be filled correctly, authentically, and with all the required fields properly.
- Then upload all the asked documents in the prescribed format only.
- Upload the Applicant's signature and Recent Passport size photograph in the prescribed format.

- The application form for M.Tech and MCA programmes can be filled out online for a charge of INR 1121. The application form does not need to be mailed.
- Internal (Full-Time), Internal (Part-Time), and External (Part-Time) M.Tech by Research programmes are available.
- The application form for International M.Tech can be filled out online and then sent to VIT, Vellore. INR 826 is the application fee.
VIT M.Tech by Research Selection Criteria
These criteria are determined by the course's minimum eligibility requirements.
For AMIE degree holders: The written test would be given 40% weightage and interview 60% weightage for AMIE degree holders with a valid GATE/ UGC/ CSIR NET or NBHM result.
For a Master's in Engineering: The applicable Master's degree will be given 40% weightage, and the Written Test or Interview will be given 60%.
For M.Sc. or MCA degree holders: The Bachelor's degree will be weighted 20%, the Master's degree will be weighted 20%, and the Written Test and Interview will be weighted 60%.
For a Master's in Engineering: The applicable Master's degree will be given 40% weightage, and the Written Test or Interview will be given 60%.
For M.Sc. or MCA degree holders: The Bachelor's degree will be weighted 20%, the Master's degree will be weighted 20%, and the Written Test and Interview will be weighted 60%.
VIT Chennai M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2023
At the doctoral level, VIT Chennai provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs. Internal (Full-Time), Internal (Part-Time), and External (Part-Time) modes are available for these courses. To be admitted to these programs, candidates must take the VITREE exam, which is administered by the institution.
A Master's degree in relevant discipline with least 60% marks is the minimum requirement for M.Phil. Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Business Administration with minimum 60% marks or M.Sc. Ph.D. Admission Details 2023
All Institute staff employees with the required basic qualifications and one year of experience at the Institute level are eligible to work part-time on Ph.D. / M.Tech by Research or M.Phil projects.
External part-time applicants, permanent teachers in other colleges, and candidates sponsored by R&D organizations of the following categories are eligible to apply to work part-time for Ph.D./M.Tech by Research) and M.Phil. degrees:
- Public sector undertakings have R&D units, such as the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), or the Department of Space.
- Public-sector projects with research and development units.
- The CSIR has identified private industries that are involved in R&D or contribute to R&D initiatives. It will be necessary to present a copy of the certificate issued by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) in this regard.
- The medical industry, institutions, and hospitals that have completed approved research and development in the relevant field. (Produce a copy of the certificate issued by the appropriate authority.)
Sponsoring Institutions/Industries should be within 500 kilometers of each other.
