1. WBUAFS Kolkata Admission 2023 of 1st year B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme for the Academic Session: 2023-2023 shall be made on the basis of merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG-2023) conducted by National Testing Agency, New Delhi.

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Kolkata Admission Requirement for undergraduate courses:

• Candidate must be a citizen of India 
• There are some age criteria for taking admission , the age is not less than 17 years and not more than 25 years years as on or before 31st December of that year of admission. There some age relaxation based on caste of the upper age limit by maximum 5 years for SC / ST /OBC
•  The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG-2023 conducted by NTA.
• The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal. 
• . The candidate must pass Higher Secondary (Intermediate) Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/ Council from any institution within West Bengal.
•  The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (Intermediate) or its equivalent examinations from any recognized Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode. 
• The candidate must obtain 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken together for unreserved category and 47.5 % in case of reserved category candidates.

• Candidate who are studying  from open schooling they are eligible to take the admission for the course
•  As on or before 31st December of that year of admission ,the candidate should attain 17 years
• For the proof of his/her age at the time of admission for verification of age candidate shall be required to present the original marksheet of all the examination passed together
• Candidates selected for admission shall be required to deposit the fees etc. at the time of admission in Bank challan in Belgachia (University Campus) branch only of Union Bank of India. The right of admission of a candidate will summarily be rejected if a candidate fails to show his/her original documents and /or pay the requisite fees for the purpose at the schedule time of admission

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Kolkata Admission Requirement for postgraduate courses:

• Minimum Requirement

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Kolkata selection criteria for postgraduate courses

•  The selection of candidates on the basis of merit and performance in the admission test and personal interview. The merit shall be decided on the basis of percentage of marks in aggregate or CGPA in Bachelor’s Degree Examination as well as marks or CGPA in subjects concerned in which admission is sought. The total marks for preparation of merit list shall be 100 out of which 40% on merit (academic score), 40% on written test and 20% on personal interview.
• The relative weight-age on the overall performance in the Bachelor’s Degree and in the subject concerned shall be in the ratio of 2:1.
• For calculation of the Academic score, the relative weighting on the overall performance in the Bachelor’s Degree and in the subject concerned shall be in the ratio of 2:1 (i.e. 26.5 from CGPA obtained in UG level and 13.5 from the subject concerned out of 40 marks).
•  The candidate shall score a minimum of 50% in aggregate of merit, admission test and interview altogether (i.e. 50 out of 100) to qualify for admission into the Postgraduate Programme.
• The candidates selected through ICAR all India Examination for admission to Master’s Degree course shall be exempted from aforesaid selection process. However, they should possess the minimum qualification as stated above.

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Kolkata Admission Requirement for postgraduate courses:

• Admission to Ph.D. course of the University shall open to candidates holding two years Master’s degree in Veterinary & Animal Sciences, M.Tech. (Dairy Technology/ Dairy Chemistry/ Dairy Microbiology) and M.F.Sc. and securing at least 55% marks in aggregate or 2.75 OGPA in 4.00-point scale or 6.75 in 10-point scale following a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences (5 years)/ Dairy Technology (4 years)/ Fishery Sciences (4 years) from a recognized University or National Institute.
• Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. courses in a subject shall have passed the Master’s Degree in the same subject and also have done sufficient courses in the proposed major field of specialization within the subject.

• The selection of candidates on the basis of academic score in Master’s Degree level and performance in the written test and personal interview. The academic score shall be decided on the basis of percentage of marks in aggregate or CGPA in Master’s Degree Examination. The total marks for preparation of merit list shall be 100, out of which 40% on academic score, 40% on written test and 20% on personal interview.
• Qualifying marks for admission are minimum 50% in aggregate in Academic Score, Written Test and Personal Interview. 
• Controller of Examinations shall publish the list of candidates recommended for admission in the notice board/ website before the date of admission.
• The candidates selected through ICAR all India Examination for admission to Ph.D. programme shall be exempted from aforesaid selection process. However, they should possess the minimum qualification as stated above.

• Then upload the colored photograph of passport size 
• Furthermore upload the signature 
• Pay the application fees online an amount of INR 500 as registration fees (INR 250 for ST/SC/OBC).
•  SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates should attach copies of caste certificate (duly self-attested) from the appropriate authorities along with the application form.
• Application form duly filled in all respects should be submitted to the Controller of Examinations, W.B.U.A.F.S, Vivek Bhawan, 68, K. B. Sarani, Kolkata -700 037 either by hand or by post which should be reached on or before 31.07.2019 up to 04.00 P.M. otherwise the online application form will be treated as cancelled.
