Shyam Lal College (Evening) Application Process 2020

Candidates seeking admission in Shyam Lal College (Evening) must have to apply in online mode. They have to register online from the official website of the University of Delhi. Given below are some steps to apply:
  • Go to the Delhi University official website.
  • New candidates have to register by clicking on the ‘New User Signup’ option on the home page.
  • After completion of the registration process, a verification email will be sent to candidates’ e-mail ID.
  • Click on tab displaying ‘Confirm registration’.
  • Log in again to the UG/PG admission portal by clicking on ‘Registered User’.
  • Candidates have to enter Personal details like - Candidate’s Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Parent's Name, Address, Phone Number, City, state, and Pin code.
  • Candidates from reserved category have to enter their category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
  • Students have to pay for the course which they want to pursue as per their eligibility.
  • They can choose more than one course at the time of application.
  • Candidates must have to submit the application form along with the application fee (Rs 100 for General/OBC candidates and Rs 50 for SC/ST candidates) by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • In the last upload, of the documents, fill the details asked in the application form, and submit it.
Documents to be uploaded:-
  • Scan copy of Class X mark sheet, Class XII mark sheet
  • Scan copy of bachelor’s degree or provisional degree
  • Photograph and Signature scan copy
  • Category certificate, SC/ST/OBC 
  • A certificate with reference for Kashmiri migrant, sports quota or Extra-Curricular activities (ECA) quota (if applicable)
Candidates must carry the original documents along with the photocopies during the counselling session:
  • Character certificate from the last attended College or School 
  • Class X certificate as proof of the date of birth
  • Provisional certificate of the last passed examination
  • Class X, XII Marksheet
  • Graduation Certificate (for Postgraduate candidates)
  • Four passport size recent photographs.
  • Address Proof of both students and Parents
  • Aadhar Card
  • Candidates from the BPL category have to submit their income certificate/affidavit for purpose of student aid fund at the time of admission.

Shyam Lal College (Evening)

Shyam Lal College was founded by Late Padma Shree Shyam Lal Gupta, Chairman, Shyam Lal Charitable Trust in the year 1964. The foundation stone of the College was laid by Late Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Hon’ble Vice President of India and Chancellor of University of Delhi on May 24, 1964.

The Evening College started functioning from September 8, 1969. Since its inception, it is one of the full-fledged constituent colleges of University of Delhi imparting knowledge in Commerce and Humanities to more than 1500 students every year. The College has been in the news for its various academic and co-curricular activities like academic achievements of Students and Teachers, Innovation Projects, Flower Show, Sports, Eco-Club, NCC, NSS and Gandhi Study Circle.
