AP PGECET 2020 (A.P. Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher education ) to offer admission to the candidates in M.E., M.Tech and M.Pharmacy Courses. This exam is conducted yearly at State- level. The online Application Form will be available from the Fourth week of February 2020.

AP PGECET 2020 Application Form

The candidates must fill the AP PGECET application form 2020 very carefully so that they do not make any mistakes while filling the application form. Also, they need to make sure that they fill the application form before the last date.

The details about AP PGECET Application Form are given hereby:

  • Aspiring candidates need to go to the website to complete the registration process and fill the online application form.
  • Application Form will be available from 02 March 2020 onwards.
  • The last date for filling the application form: without late fee is 30 March 2020, with late fee of ₹ 500 is 08 April 2020,  with late fee of ₹ 2000/- is 12 April 2020, with late fee of ₹ 5000/- is 18 April 2020.
  • After that, the candidates need to fill all the required details such as qualifying examination (degree as the case may be) hall ticket number, SSC or 10th class hall ticket number, Schools/ Cities from 9th class onwards, good quality passport size photograph, scanned image of Signature affixed with a black pen on a white paper etc.
  • Furthermore, Aadhar Card Number of the candidate is mandatory.
  • Also, the candidates willing to give more than one test paper at AP PGECET 2020 need to register for all the papers in the same application itself and pay the application amount displayed.

AP PGECET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates need to carefully read the AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2020 details and make sure that they are eligible to appear in the exam. If the candidate is found ineligible their application form will get rejected.

Following is the detailed AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2020:

ELIGIBILITY FOR WRITING THE TEST

  • Candidates must have Indian citizenship.
  • They must belong to Andhra Pradesh state.
  • Besides this, candidates must have completed their Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant field having a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) from an institution which is UGC/ AICTE approved and is recognised by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
  • Furthermore, candidates pursuing their B.Tech or its equivalent / B.Pharm. the course will be eligible for entry into the relevant M.E./M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy/ Pharm.D(PB) courses only if they have completed their undergraduate degree till the Counselling Date.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION INTO M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Pharm./Pharm.D(PB):

  • Candidates need to appear and qualify AP PGECET 2020 test paper relevant to the course in which they want to take admission.
  • Admission to 85% of the seats in each course will be reserved for the local candidates and the
    remaining 15% of the seats will be un-reserved
  • While filling up the seats in colleges, first preference will be given to candidates who have qualified GATE / GPAT in the relevant based on their test scores and the preference for remaining seats to the candidates who will qualify AP PGECET 2020 according to their merit ranks.

AP PGECET 2020 Admit Card

AP PGECET Admit Card 2020 will be available online on the official website and candidates are expected to bring a printed copy to the examination centre. Following points must be kept in mind by the candidates regarding their Admit cards/Hall ticket:

  • Candidates Can download their PGECET hall ticket from the official website by using application number and password and enter the required information.
  • Candidates must check every detail mentioned in the admit card.
  • It is mandatory to carry the admit cards to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID proof which will help in verification of identity by the invigilators.
  • If any discrepancy is found in the admit card, get in touch with the officials immediately and get it corrected.
  • If candidates are appearing for the examination in a new city then kindly go and visit the examination centre before the day of examination so that they don’t reach late or to the wrong centre.

Andhra University

Andhra University was established in 1926 by the Madras Act of 1926. The 94-year-old institution which has Sir C.R. Reddy as its founder Vice-Chancellor. Former President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was one of its Vice-Chancellors and later Dr. C. R. Reddy in 1931 become the Vice-Chancellors. The University College of Arts was found on 1 st July, 1931. The University currently Offering 313 Courses in Arts, Commerce, Management, Science & Technology, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy and Education. The Andhra University has five colleges and four Campuses. The Colleges of Arts and Commerce is the biggest college in the University with 26 Departments offering 42 courses including four Diploma Courses. The College of Engineering has 15 Departments offering Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes. The College of Law has been identified as an advanced Center in Law by UGC.

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education was established on 20 May 1988 through the Act 16 of 1988 to advised the Government relating to Higher Education in the state and its development with planning. It is approved by University Grant Commission (UGC). It is the general duty of the Council to coordinate and determine standards in institutions of Higher Education, Research, Scientific and Technical Institutions following the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission from time to time.
