BPEE CET Eligibility Criteria- The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations was established to admit qualified applicants to various undergraduate and postgraduate professional programmes throughout the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In the month of May 2022, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Common Entrance Test (J&K BPEE CET 2022) will be held at various locations across Jammu and Kashmir. BPEE CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates taking the Jammu and Kashmir CET test in 2022 for admission to B.E./B.Tech Engineering Courses must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Nationality or Residence
  • Applicants must be permanent residents of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Educational Qualifications
  • Candidate must have passed the 12th/10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised Board/University (40 percent marks for the candidates belonging to reserve category)

  • Candidates must have completed a 10+2 examination with optional courses of English, Physics,  Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Those who are currently enrolled in the 12th grade may also apply for the exam.
Age Limit
  • Candidate's age must not be less than 17 years old as of December 31st of the relevant year.
  • In order to take the JK CET exam, you must be at least 18 years old.
Number of Attempts
  • A candidate can take the JKCET as many times as he or she wants as long as they are under the age limit set by the conducting authority.
Subjects
  • All exam takers must have finished 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as subjects. To be eligible for JKCET, he or she must have completed it from a recognised Board or University of Jammu and Kashmir.
Minimum Marks Required
  • Candidates belonging to Open Merit, including Children of Defence Personnel, Children of Paramilitary Forces, Children of State Police Personnel, and candidates possessing remarkable proficiency in Sport in the qualifying exam, must have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam. The required marks for SC/ST and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes applicants are 40%.
  • SC and ST candidates must have received a minimum of 40% in the same subjects to be eligible for reservation.

BPEE CET 2022 Reservation for Certificates

Certificates: Applicants who wish to be considered for admission under the JKCET reservation programme must provide an authenticated copy of a valid reserved category certificate. Only then will they meet the JKCET Exam eligibility requirements.
Seat allocation: Aspirants will be assigned seats from the central pool based on their merit. As a result, students with higher grades have a better chance of getting into their preferred college. Only candidates who have passed the JKCET will be considered for seat allocation.
Proof: Candidates must provide an affidavit stating that no other member of their family has benefited from this category. For aspirants seeking JKCET admission through the Central Pool, this is essential.
