How to check CLAT Result 2024?

Test takers must follow given below steps to check their result:

• Visit the CLAT 2024 official website.

• Click on the result link (will be updated once it is declared)

• The candidate will be redirected to a log-in portal

• Enter registration/application number and date of birth

• After successful log-in, CLAT 2024 result would be displayed on the screen

• Candidates are advised to download and print the result for further use.

How CLAT 2024 Scores will be Evaluated?

The CLAT 2021 Scores can be calculated using the official marking scheme. For every correct response, +1 marks will be awarded and -0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. As per this scheme, the total score will be calculated for each applicant and the merit list will be uploaded displaying the marks of all candidates.

CLAT 2024 Selection Process

The selection process depends on the cutoff marks. Candidates who will score more than or equal to the CLAT cutoff marks will be placed on the merit list or the Result.

Authority will follow given below tie-breakers if two candidates secure the same percentile:

1. Candidate with more marks in “Legal Aptitude” section of CLAT 2024 exam will be ranked higher.
2. If a tie still exists, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
3. Finally, the tie will be decided by the computerized draw of lots.

How is CLAT 2024 Result Prepared?

To prepare the result for CLAT 2024 exam, Consortium of NLUs follows the steps as mentioned below –

• 1st Step>> Calculation of Raw Marks: The raw marks are the score obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. For this, the conducting body uses the marking scheme as provided below-

• 2nd Step >> Preparation of merit list – Once the total score of the candidate is obtained, the exam conducting body prepares the merit list. It is released online for different colleges at the same time. CLAT merit list consists of details like rank obtained, candidate’s name, university which is provisionally allotted by the college, etc.  

CLAT 2024 Result Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case of two or more candidates have obtained same marks or rank, their tie is resolved by applying the following rules:

• First, higher marks in the component /section on legal aptitude in the CLAT is considered.
• If tie still exists, then the seniority in age is considered, i.e older candidates candidates are given preference over younger candidates.
• If there is still a tie, then, the computerized draw is considered to resolve it.
