CTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. This exam is held twice a year in July and December. Education Qualification for Classes 1-5: Primary Stage
Candidates go through the given points of class 1-5 educational qualification:
- Candidates need to clear the senior secondary examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002
- Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)
- Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Educational Qualification for Classes 6-8: Elementary Stage
Go through the given below detail of eligibility for class 6-8:
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)
- Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
Marks Relaxation
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.
Other important information related to CTET 2023 Eligibility
Here are some key points regarding the CTET 2023 eligibility requirements:
- NCTE should recognize a diploma or degree course in teacher education.
- Diploma in education (special education) and B.Ed (special education) course should be recognized by the rehabilitation council of India (RCI).
- The candidate with D.Ed (special education) has to undergo training. This is a course recognized by NCTE – 6 months of a special program in elementary education.
- The educational qualification given above is for language, mathematics, social science, science, etc.
- For a Physical Education teacher, the eligibility criteria should be referred from NCTE regulation, dated 03 November 2001.
- For the teachers of art education, craft education, work education, home science, etc., the norms prescribed by the state government are applicable.
- Candidate pursuing teachers education course recognized by NCTE is also eligible.

मैने 2020 मे ctet का आवेदन किया था। जिसमे दो बार जमा हुई लेकिन न तो प्रिंट आउट निकला नहीं न ही रजिस्ट्रेशन नम्बर मिला ।सादर अनुरोध है। कि यदि इसका कोई समाधान तो अवगत कराने की कृपा करे।धन्यवाद
