Candidates can check the details of IIT JAM 2024 Counsellin Procedure which is mentioned below

• The counselling of IIT JAM 2024 is done for admission to MSc and above postgraduate programmes offered at IITs and IISc Bangalore.

• Candidates have to fill the admission form as per their preferences and choices according to which they will be offered seats during IIT JAM counselling 2024.

• Candidates belonging to OBC-NCL and EWS categories need to upload their valid certification issued after March 31. along with the admission form

• They need to pay the IIT JAM 2024 counselling fee of Rs 600, without which the applications will not be considered valid. The counselling fee of IIT JAM 2024 will be non-refundable.

• Candidates can select as many JAM programmes as they want while filling the admission form.

• Candidates will be given admission according to their filled preferences in the JAM admission list. Candidates who have been offered seats during the counselling of IIT JAM 2024 will have to log in through their registered ID and select from three options - Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade and Reject and Quit.

1. Accept and Freeze - Candidates who wish to accept the admission offer and freeze the seats need to pay the seat booking fee based on their categories. The payment can be made either by debit card, credit card or net banking.
2. Accept with Upgrade - Candidates who want to accept the seat offered but wish to upgrade the seat in the next round need to pay the seat booking fee. On the next round of JAM admission list, candidates will be offered a seat depending upon the higher preference filled by them.
3. Reject and Quit - If a candidate chooses to cancel their allotted seat, he or she will be charged Rs. 1000/- as the Seat Booking Fee and the final amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. They will receive an OTP on their mobile number. Candidates have to confirm their decision of seat cancellation through confirming the OTP.
