JKCET 2023 Counselling Process: Dates, Documents, Step-by-Step Guide

JKCET 2023 counselling process will be started in June 2023. It will be organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE). The authority will organize a state-level entrance exam to get admission into various engineering courses provided by colleges located in Jammu & Kashmir State. Board will conduct the counselling process in online mode. By this counselling, candidates can get admission in the course/college of their choices/preferences. JKCET Counselling 2023
The JKCET 2023 counselling will start from in November 2023. Candidates can fill the online preference form through the official website. Candidates are advised to select their most preferred choices first along with the college of preferences.
Before submitting the preferences, qualified candidates have to submit the online counselling fee which is Rs. 1500. The fee is to be paid in online mode by using credit card/debit card/e-banking. Candidates have to fill the JKCET 2023 counselling form after the announcement of JKCET 2023 result declaration. For this, candidate have to enter personal details like “Application Number”, “CET Marks”, “CET Roll Number”, “Rank”, “Date of Birth”, which they have provided during registration. After a few days of the choice filling, the authority will release the seat allotment list for such candidates along with the college name in which they can get admission. The JKCET 2023 merit list contains information related to candidates such as their roll number, name, rank, allotted discipline & institution.
JKCET 2023 Counselling Process
Allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of first come preference and reservation rules. The counselling process of JKCET 2023 entrance exam is conducted in online mode as video counselling. Details for which is given below:
The procedure of online counselling is given below:
Step 1: Candidates can participate in online counselling after submitting necessary documents online/offline as may be notified by the Board.
Step 2: Such candidate has to fill in online preferences forms, as per the schedule prescribed by the board.
Step 3: The candidates shall be provided the time to conduct a mock exercise to fill in the online preferences
STEP 4: The candidates have to pay an online counselling fee of Rs.1500/- to be eligible for consideration for allotment of seat.
Documents required at the Time of JKCET 2023 Counselling
The candidates have to show the following documents before or at the time of JKCET 2023 counselling:
- State Subject Certificate
- Class 10th & 12th Mark Sheets
- Class 10th & 12th Passing Certificate
- Birth Certificate
- Reserved Category Certificate
- Confirmation Page of Online Application Form
- JKCET Admit Card 2023
- Permanent Resident Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Electronic Result Card
- Photo ID Proof
Institutes accepting JKCET 2023 score
Candidates have to fill clearly multiple choices of disciplines/institutions in the counselling form in which they want to take admission in the order of preference. For example, if a candidate indicates his options in the following manner:
- GCET, Jammu.
- MIET, Jammu
- MBS College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu.
- SSM College of Engineering, Srinagar.
- Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu.
- Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu.
Such candidates will be first considered for admission in – GCET-Jammu. If on merit, the candidate does not qualify for allotment then he/she will be considered for allotment of MIET-Jammu, then for MBS- Jammu, then for SSM-Srinagar, then for YCET- Jammu and finally for Engineering in BCET-Jammu.
