Meghalaya TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check their MTET 2023 eligibility before filling the application in the mentioned below points:
Candidates who wish to apply for examination must be an Indian citizen.
Candidates should not be older than 27 years and not younger than 18 years as of 01 January 2023 and for those candidates who belong to SC/ST category, there is a 5 years relaxation.
Those candidates belong to the OBC category, who are differently-abled there will be an age relaxation of 3 years
Candidates who have an academic or professional qualification.
Any candidate who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses recognized by the NCTE or the RCI.
Eligibility conditions for candidates appearing in TET 2020 may be relaxed in respect of a State/UT which has been granted relaxation under sub-section (2) of section 23 of the RTE Act. The relaxation will be specified in the notification issued by the Central Government under the Sub-section.
Educational Qualification
Classes I-V:
Candidates must have qualified for the 12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Along with 12th candidates should have passed the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE.
Candidates must have passed the 12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks ( 45% marks for SC / ST) with 4 years B.El.Ed. or
By scoring a minimum of 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidate should have qualified for the 12th standard with a Diploma in Special Education.
Classes VI-VIII:
Candidates must have qualified for the B.A / B. Sc by scoring at least 50% marks with 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE. or
Candidates must have passed the B. A / B. Sc by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 1 year B. Ed. or
Candidates must have passed the B.A / B. Sc standard by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 4 years of Bachelor course in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). or
By scoring a minimum of 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidate should have qualified for the B.A / B. Sc course with a Diploma in Special Education. or
