NEET 2023 cutoff tie-breaker

If two or more candidates have scored equal NEET cut off qualifying scores, the authority will use tie-breaking criteria to prepare NEET 2023 merit list. Given below are some steps in order of preference that the authority will follow to break the tie:

Higher marks in Biology: Candidates securing higher scores in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be preferred first for merit list.
Higher marks in Chemistry: If the tie still exists, then the candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be considered.
Number of incorrect answers: If the tie is still present, candidates with less number of incorrect attempted answers will be allotted better rank.
Age: At last, the candidate's age will be taken into consideration. Elder candidates will be given higher rank in the merit list.
