NERIST Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria must be followed by every candidate who wants to apply for Engineering & Technology diploma and degree courses. The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology follow a two-year modular structure in undergraduate programmes namely, Base module, Diploma module and Degree module. The candidates are admitted through NERIST Entrance Examination namely NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III respectively for each module. NERIST Entrance Exam is conducted in three phases - NEE 1, 2, and 3. The exam will be conducted on May 13 and 14, 2023.

NERIST EE 2023 Eligibility Criteria should be checked by the candidates who will be appearing for the NERIST Entrance Exam 2023 for all the entrance examinations (NEE-I/ NEE-II/ NEE-III) in the mentioned below points:

Maximum Age
Limits as on 31 July,
2020 are 23 years for General candidates (born on or after 01 August, 1997), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born
on or after 01 August, 1994) and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01 August 1992).
NEE III

Applicants must hold a degree of the 3-years Diploma course from any Government recognized polytechnic / institution in the respective or allied discipline/ branch with a minimum of 60% marks considering aggregate marks of all the three years’ together/CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or NERIST
Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 6.0.

Maximum Age Limits as on 31 July 2020 are 40 years for General category candidates born on or after 1 August 1980), 43 years for OBC and female applicants(born
on or after 1 August, 1977) and 45 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August 1975).

Seat Reservation for NERIST EE 2023

A candidate seeking/claiming admission against a seat under any of the categories shall have to produce a relevant certificate at the time of counselling / admission. The seat distribution will be done based on State Quota, All India Quota and PWD Quota. The details for the same are discussed below:

  • For direct admissions, 80% of seats are reserved for eight North Eastern States candidates (10% for each state) as state-quota.
  • 7% of the total seats are reserved for Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) holders of these eight North Eastern States on merit basis.
  • 10% of the total seats are filled up with candidates under All India-quota.
  • 3% of the total seats are reserved for PWD persons under PD-quota.
