PUMDET 2023 Result will be out by Presidency University online through login to search. The merit list for UG courses is generated based on the candidates' academic performance in 10+2. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the UG entrance exam, also known as the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET), has been postponed this year. How to download Presidency University PUMDET 2023 Rank Card?
Candidates may follow the steps below to obtain their PUMDET 2023 rank card:
Visit the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) website or use the link given above.
Candidates should search the login window on the next page. Here, enter the application number and password you got when you registered for PUMDET.
When you press the submit button, the candidate's dashboard opens; look for the rank card connection and click it.
The rank card will appear on the screen; please download it and keep it safe for future reference.
How PUMDET 2023 Result is Calculated for Presidency University Admission?
The PUMDET 2023 result is compiled in the same way, following the steps below:
First, WBJEEB prepares the rank card: The rank card contains the candidates' scores and rankings based on their performance in PUMDET 2023.
The exam marks are determined according to the marking scheme, which is as follows:
Two marks are awarded for correct answers. Half a mark is deducted for incorrect responses.
As a result, the candidates' raw scores are determined.
The ranks are determined by the results of the PUMDET 2023 exam.
Candidates with higher scores are given a higher ranking.
The rank card specifies the rank.
General merit rank (GMR) and group rank are the two forms of rankings.
The GMR is the overall ranking of the candidates, regardless of category; however, the category rank is the overall ranking of the candidates in their respective category. The group ranking is merely indicative. The GMR is used to assign seats.

Tie-breaking Criteria for PUMDET 2023
If two or more candidates receive the same PUMDET 2023 ranking, the tie is broken as follows:
In the event of a tie, candidates with fewer negative marks will be ranked higher.
If the tie is still unresolved, all such candidates are given the same rank and are considered for admission and counselling with a bunching impact.

All candidates are given a rank card, but not all candidates are given the same rank.
Candidates who have been assigned ranks are qualified for counselling and must review the Presidency University's merit list for seat allocation.
PUMDET 2023 Duplicate Rank Card
If an applicant requires a duplicate rank card, they must apply to the board and pay a fee of Rs. 500 in the form of a bank draught payable to the "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board" payable in Kolkata. Since the rank card must be shown at the time of counselling, it must be kept safe. A duplicate rank card can be requested up to 60 days after the results are announced.

Candidates who apply for membership in the reserved group must show evidence of residency at the time of counselling. WB domiciled applicants are qualified for admission under the reserved category.
Criteria to be treated as the domicile of West Bengal
The following candidates are treated as the domicile of West Bengal who belongs to the following category:
Resident in West Bengal who’s living for continuously 10 years, OR
Candidates whose parents are permanent residents of West Bengal having a permanent address within the State of West Bengal.
